Hard Rock vs Palazzo vs Encore vs Marquee

Deciding on getting a suite at either one of those 4 for Super Bowl weekend. Having a hard time. Big dilemma. Would appreciate your inputs. Pro's, con's, comparisons, etc. Not just for the hotel stay, but taking everything into consideration, i.e. partying, etc.

I haven't yet stayed at the Cosmopolitan, but must admit it looks sweet. The balconies overlooking the Belaggio fountains appear to be something I could really enjoy. I have stayed at the other three properties and prefer the Hard Rock HRH Tower.

I think the Palazzo rooms are the best of the 3 (Palazzo, Encore, HRH), but I prefer the overall HRH vibe. I like things loud and a little obnoxious. I'm told their new sportsbook will be open by Superbowl too. Encore's very nice, but a bit subdued for me. Palazzo has Lagasse's which is the best place in Vegas to watch sports, but for Superbowl, good luck gettin' in there.

The Cosmo 'Book & Stage' (Read: fancy hipster name for tiny sports book with a stage where they hold performances) will prove to be a bit lackluster for the big gambler/sports fan.

I am curious to see how Cosmo does with wagerers and those that are die-hard sports fans. Yeah, there's TVs all over, but nothing like the other major casinos have.

I think it all comes down to your plans on game day for the Superbowl, do you have any yet?

I'm not revolving my entire trip around the Superbowl... I don't even know where I'll be watching the game. Last year I just ended up watching it in my room and at the Monte Carlo sportsbook.

The casino at Palazzo is awesome, and as far as layout, I don't think you can find a place on the strip that is easier to navigate without needing a Sherpa.

However, in my experience, the Palazzo casino is very tight - - if you plan on gambling, it might make more sense to just get a roll of quarters and flush 'em down the toilet.

I just booked adjoining suites at The Palazzo for a group of 9. Did 2 queens in one room and 1 king in the other. With the pull-out sleeper sofas we'll have more than enough room. But the main reason I decided on The Palazzo was because of the living area. A room with 2 queen beds still has enough seating (not counting the beds, lol) for 7 comfortably. Most rooms at other hotels with 2 queen beds only have a couple of seats; if that, unless you get a multiple bedroom suite.

Plus between Palazzo and Venetian, you have a ton of restaurants and bars/clubs to choose from, plus 2 full casinos. And you're very close to many other big hotels.
