Whats the verdict on Marquee?

At least half the time Yelp reviews are negative for something stupid like they thought $30 cover was too much, or the doorman didn't immediately let them into the club.

exactly...people will complain about not being let into places wearing jerseys or sneakers or something and knock the clubs down to below the top 10, etc.

I would much more likely trust the reviews of people in this forum than those on Yelp. At least, if you end up not liking the place, you know who to blame

My Yelp comment was tongue-in-cheek. But if you look at their overall club ratings, they're not too far off the mark.

I don't think Yelp is far off the mark at all. Of course you get non-clubbers complaining about trivial things but they aren't the majority on there. XS is a forum favorite and has 4 1/2 stars out of 5 on Yelp with 1125 reviews, Marquee has 4 stars with 84 reviews, and LAX rates at 2 1/2 with 300. I think if we had forum members poll their favorite clubs and why the outcome would be similar.
