Was looking in the guides and didnt find what I was looking for in terms of tips. When doing bottle service, who and how much do you often give tips to. I've heard to the host, the bouncer in your area, and the waitress. Is this correct, and if so could you give me a ballpark of what you usually give them. THANKS for the help!!
Gratuities on Bottle Service?

It's usually $50-100 to the host, $20 to the bouncer, the waitress gets an automatic 18-20% of your total bill so I don't give them extra but you can. Don't forget your runner either, tip everyone a little and they will appreciate it and keep your night smooth.Originally posted by stalian999 View PostWas looking in the guides and didnt find what I was looking for in terms of tips. From what I've found it's pretty common to tip 20% of your bill to your waitress, $100 per bottle to your host, and $20 per bottle to the nearest bouncer and your runner. That's what I plan on doing. I'm sure you won't exactly get kicked out for less, but those people you're giving the tips to have the power to make your night much better or much worse, so I feel it's a good idea to take good care of them.

Ya, my group decided to do Tryst on Friday, XS on Saturday, and Vanity on Sunday. I've got Patrick Frank taking care of me at Tryst and XS. We're only doing 2 bottles Friday and 3 bottles Saturday for a group of 9 (4 guys/5 girls) so I'm hoping the tips will help us get a good table and keep us guys from having to spend the whole night keeping an eye on our girl friends.Originally posted by MikeyTantalo View Postyou will get extra attention.. random hott girls showing up to your table (if you would like) uuhm even escort to the bathroom if you need oneOriginally posted by CLoftis View PostFrom what I've found it's pretty common to tip 20% of your bill to your waitress, $100 per bottle to your host, and $20 per bottle to the nearest bouncer and your runner. was at pure a few years ago having a great time, and the main bouncer/security guy in our section was a real cool guy. i ended up giving him $100 about halfway through the night and he was real appreciative. at the end of the night we had a half a bottle of vodka left. he told us to buy a a $8 bottle of water, dump it out, and he'd fill it with the rest of our vodka and let us take it with us which was nice. even though we only made it about 20 minutes outside the club into before it got confiscated, it was a nice gesture.

Love the Vodka / Water Bottle Dump move. It's great until your friend who's completely wasted wakes up looking for a swig of water.. then, BAD NEWS!Originally posted by roknroll View Postwas at pure a few years ago having a great time, and the main bouncer/security guy in our section was a real cool guy. i ended up giving him $100 about halfway through the night and he was real appreciative. at the end of the night we had a half a bottle of vodka left. he told us to buy a a $8 bottle of water, dump it out, and he'd fill it with the rest of our vodka and let us take it with us which was nice. even though we only made it about 20 minutes outside the club into before it got confiscated, it was a nice gesture."Bringing a girl to Vegas is like bringing a warm beer to a bar that serves FREE COLD BEERS... and everyone sitting there just spilling Cold Beer all over the place and you have to pretend you just loooove your warm beer." - Andy Haynes

$100/bottle to the VIP host seems very high unless they went above and beyond. Before I would pay that much, I want to know:
1. How long did I wait in line
2. Where's my table
3. Did he/she just drop us off at our table and see maybe once in the evening.
4. Did they bring real prospect girls to our table, or girls paid by the club.

$100 to the host is not a high amount because:Originally posted by jrelera View Post$100/bottle to the VIP host seems very high unless they went above and beyond. Before I would pay that much, I want to know:

1) You aren't waiting in line, maybe 5min tops because the host maybe taking care of someone else at the moment.
2) You will get a good table location most of the time....if the location isn't good they will move you to a prime location as soon as a spot opens up.
3) They will walk you in and always check up on you. Maybe 1x every 20-30min.
4) Girls can be hit and miss, but if you know how to talk to girls you don't need a host to bring them to you. Also, if you have a table, all girls would want to join you hired by the club or not.
5) The host can give you a deal on bottle service like a b1g1 or b2g1 deal if its an industry night depending on the club.

Are you saying flat $100 or $100/bottle?
Everything starts with real estate. When I worked with someone at Tryst, they gave me a table outside, the furthest in the corner. Can we say the furthest from anything fun. That table would definitely not be worth paying the host $100 per bottle. When I said this table wouldn't work, I was simply told there was no other table.
If I go to XS on a Friday or Saturday, do the standard 1 bottle per 3 guys, the host gives me a good table, things are going great, we sucked down the bottles and the host offers, B1G1 even if it's the cheapest, that's worth a lot.

Who did you work with at Tryst? Did you use a JC approved host or did you use a random person. Also, all table locations have certain minimums and it could've been a night when minimums were raised. Sometimes it requires a "handshake" to get a location you want.
I don't get the last part, are you saying you got a b1g1 at XS?
