Help out a newbie

Alright, so I'm an active duty Marine getting ready to deploy to Afgahnistan(again!) next month. I've got my birthday coming up on the 16th and want to do one last bash out in Vegas before I'm out, and so far I've got a plan kind of put together.

The group is going to consist of myself, my little sister(who just turned 21 ), my fellow Marine who is also my spotter, his girlfriend and one of my sisters girlfriends. I'm arranging to get into Tao or XS(don't know which yet) for Saturday night, no bottle service, I've only got about 2k to blow and I want to save the table for sunday, my actual birthday.

I'm looking at getting said table at The Bank, I remember going here for about 15 minutes about a year ago(very blurry memories there). The night I'm getting the table it's just going to be me and my little sister, and we're getting 2 bottles... honestly, I'm fairly newly single and looking to just let all go before I'm gone, ya know.

I guess what I want to know is, how is the bank on a Sunday night compared to Vanity(which is where my host is saying is a better spot, I guess). Also, how would it look if I was in my Dress uniform either night? I've got a suit, and I planned on wearing it Sunday, but I'm contemplating wearing the uniform Saturday... just up in the air about it.

I had a good time at The Bank on Sunday it was pretty packed but not so much that you couldn't breathe. It was more Top 40/Hip Hop music and the crowd was pretty mixed. Plus I ended up meeting Bill Bellamy and Coolio, I know Z list celebrities but Gangsters Paradise was my shit in 3rd grade and I love How to be a Player. I think doing the table there would be a great way to spend your bday.

but I did not use a host from JC. I went through a friend of a friend. I personally would suggest Vanity. Also if you want to make the most of your money "The Bank" bottle prices are really steep compared to anyone else. IMO. Just to give you an idea we got Heny VS and Patron with tax and tip it came out to almost $1600 for 2 bottles. I usually pay about 500+100 tip per bottle avg usually at other places.

I have never seen anyone at the club wearing their uniform before, but since your single I say do it and it would be a great conversation starter. Plus you might get special treatment. who knows. I say wear it.

I have never enjoyed that place. hated it when it was Light (snobs and rude hosts) and I still don't trust the place.

Some may disagree but I would avoid the Bank.

You said 2 bottles but what are you expecting to pay for them?

The scene at Vanity has kind of warded me off (you can read all about it on this site) but some of the Vets here like it.

I stated my favorite spots in the post above this.

As far as the uniform, why not?

Marine uniforms looks crisp and scream "Respect".

You will have an in with a lot of single ladies that way but you might also intimidate some.

If you want to get really sh$%faced then you probably will not want the uniform of course but in the right situation, I could see that working out.

Unless Kobe Bryant walks in the place (EXTREMELY doubtful since he is probably living in the gym the way the Lakers have been playing) then you will command (no pun intended) all eyes.

I'm paying $1300 for 2 bottles but am being garunteed that I that's an all expenses paid price, as in, I can leave my wallet at home(not going to, obviously, I plan on tipping the bouncer a good amount to keep on eye on my little sister while I'm away lol).

The business itself is called "Red Carpet VIP" and from what I've read about them, they seem pretty reputable, registered with the BBB and ALOT of good reviews, so meh.

Play it safe and go through the hosts on this site. Can you tell me what places you are planning on going to and what nights? There maybe some deals that you can get that you aren't aware of.

i would not wear your uniform. honestly it looks like they are trying to hard for attention. plus if you get wasted you dont want to be doing stupid stuff in it that will get you in trouble later. you also dont need to wear a suite, you will get hot with the jacket on and prolly leave it (happens all the time). Stick with nice slacks and a button down shirt.

First of all thank you for your Service! I am a gf of a Marine...and went with a group of Marine's last year to vegas...after the advice found on here we all agreed it would be best for them to not wear there uniforms out. For the same reasons stated above you will be getting wasted...and you don't want any negative feedback. However, I would suggest showing your military ID when you go to get in places- Drai's comped admission and let us in right away with the boys showing there Military ID's...It may not work like that everywhere, but it never huts. Have a Blast and good luck on your deployment.

I work PMO as a civilian and a group of LCPLs got jumped last time they went...one cracked over the head with a bottle. Hospital stay...be careful.

I've already made myself that rez at The Bank, and the host seemed pretty cool, don't really want to jack that up.

Saturday I'm definately looking to go to XS though.
