  • Without contacts, how long of a wait is it to get in?

I'm going with a friend (so one guy and one girl total) and was wondering if we want to go to Tao on a Saturday and XS on a Sunday, how long would the waits be without any help from a contact? Thanks!

Like just showing up in general admission? Varies of course but if you show up early like opening time, 15-30 min. Later on... can be up to a couple hours.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. I mean, why wouldn't you want to use any kind of contact information to bypass the chaos on any given night at the clubs in Vegas? I value my drinking time. Standing in line with the "uneducated" Vegas club goers is not necessary.

I was just wanting to know. I've never clubbed before, so I was wondering how much of a benefit having a contact would be, and obviously it is a great help.

This site exists so you never have to worry about that.

You sound like someone seeking peace of mind to do what your mind (and everyone here) says not to, but a sense of fear or aversion to splurging in Vegas have you seeking it out anyway.

If you are wondering whether you really need to get a reservation/Host when"gambling" for an in line entry might pay off, hey, loads of people go to Vegas to gamble.

                  Go for it.

I prefer to limit my gambling to the slots and blackjack though.

When it comes to nightlife, I leave the dice in the hotel and bring my tipping money with me.

I go to Vegas 3-4 times a year. I live in Oklahoma so I wish it was more. When I am there this is how I make a contact. Its called giving a c-note to a dude by the velvet ropes. I am not waiting in line on vacation lol. If it is only 2 of you have a friend give you 50 and you put in 50. I figure the cover is around 30 bucks so for 20 more it beats waiting in line for 2 hours.

Depending on which club you guys wanna hit you can contact the hosts mention on host appreciation thread here. I am assuming since its just two of you, you guys are not looking for any bottle service.

So just text the host and let them know you heard them from Jack Colton forums and ask if they can help you with the line.

In most cases they will be happy to and you will just have to take care of them accordingly.

And amount you mention should be perfectly fine for that. On NYE weekend I got 4 guys (including me) in the Tryst for that amount and the host got us in wrote up the slip that waived the cover charge for the entire group. Line was ridiculous too but we straight skipped it.

That is an approved method as well! some people are less comfortable finding the right door man to grease on the spot and prefer to set it all up before hand though.

It will work at most places.

I have handed money to doormen before and, on crowded nights, they simply hand it back to me.

                          It is not a guarantee.

I don't think I'll be giving the doorman any money. If a contact could get us in, they deserve the money!
