Rolled to Vegas with my two friends from my high school/college days before my permanent move to MA, so we were excited to say the least. Being three guys without their girlfriends, we were sure we'd at least have entertaining stories to tell them when we got back... or not, ya know, whatever, haha.

Dinner: MGM Food Court
Alright, we got to The Signature at 9pm, and were headed out soon after so we just wanted some quick bites. I had the philly cheesesteak from Nathan's, and there was SO MUCH, absolutely delicious. Not perfect, since it's not Philly, but not shabby at all.
Nightlife: Ghostbar
Bought tickets at the airport before they closed the list at 4pm, so we rolled up and just wen right in. Real cool staff, except the promoter at the door seemed a bit touchy. When we got upstairs it was the normal Sunday house-theme, so people with bottles/tables were dancing on the carpet and folks were standing in the middle walkway. I had a few drinks from the bar during my time, and the woman back there was taking care of me. Strong drinks, crazy friendly. I started a solo dance party on the walkway for us poor people without tables, and roped a few girls into it, but couldn't get many other takers. Met some cool people and had conversations, then headed out about 2:15am. Tried to go to Drai's, completely forgetting it wouldn't be open, so walked the strip back to the Signature (or, the McDonalds in the food court first, then the suite)
12/27
Lunch: 'wichcraft (MGM)
High priced sandwiches, not much else to say. But I did get to shake hands with Brad Garrett, which was kinda cool.
Afternoon: Walked the Strip from the MGM to TI and back. You have to do it...
Dinner: Hooters
Our local Hooters in Fremont is kinda our spot, so we figured we'd switch it up and do the Vegas one. Our waitress Roxy was a bit cold to start, but we started talking football and she warmed up. She's a Dallas fan, we're 49ers fans, we could all bask in a sad year and drink to that.
Nightlife:JET
Apparently we got f-ed on this one. The club was packed and took us 45 minutes to get in on guestlist (not that this was the bad part), but then we find out that only one of the 3 rooms was opened. I literally could not stretch my arms out on the dance floor, girls were smoking on the go-go box in the middle, it was just a hot mess. Eventually we were able to get some space at about 1am to really dance other than rolling up on the backs of girls, and we met some interesting if not drunk women who wanted to dance hardcore. Good laughs, blew out some guys who thought they were getting laid, and left the girls in the club to fend for themselves at 2:30 because it was all just too much by this point.
12/28
Lunch: Dick's Last Resort (Excalibur)
If you like being berated by the waitstaff, this is your place. Food is a bit pricey, but if you catch them when they're a bit slow and can really make fun of you (and you of them), it's a good time. We weren't so lucky in that they were really busy and understaffed, but my friend made sure to harass our waitress and get our money's worth.
Afternoon: The Pool at The Signature
It was open, but I decided to sit outside with a latte and tan. Yes, black people can tan, haha.
Dinner: Gonzalez y Gonzalez (New York, New York)
Amazing! I had crispy tacos with shredded beef, and my friends ordered chicken tacos and a carne asada burrito of some sort. Great all around, and they have TVs to watch the game with my 48oz Sky High daquiri (tequila and I have a bad history). Our waiter was incredibly helpful, and even stepped it up when my friend got a nosebleed from his interactions with smoky venues. Grade A food, Grade A service. Thanks to the Signature concierge for the tip.
Nightlife: Blush
Big ups to Mikey T for making this happen for us. 3 guys rolling in, skipping line, and getting in free is no easy task, and even while being out injured he was a huge help. He pretty much made the night right there! I had a dance battle with some girl on the patio, which was entertaining. The guy at the bar was efficient and made strong drinks, but was too swamped for me to really thank for his services. I can imagine having bottles here would be cool, but if you had a table in the middle row the night we were there you had better enjoyed people dancing very close to you because it was insane!
Afterparty: Wynn Casino Bar
Long story short: my boy and I befriended some girls, one of whom it was her 21st birthday, so we treated her to a drink. 90 minutes later, we found ourselves leaving a massive tip for KC the bartender because he was hilarious and the best wingman in the world if we had been trying to advance the plot with these ladies. If you need some entertainment post-Blush (or in the Wynn), hit up the casino bar across the floor from Blush and find KC, he'll complete the night.
Hotel: The Signature
Prompt service when you need something or someone, and the junior suite was more than spacious for 3 guys with it's king bed and pull-out queen couch. Balcony was sweet as well, as we were on the 32nd floor of Tower 2 and had a great view of Aria, Cosmopolitan, and PH Westgate. If you don't mind walking through the MGM to get to the strip (really, it's not that bad), I'd definitely recommend it. Tower 2 seemed most convenient since shuttles/cabs have to drop all people there at night anyways. The concierge was also ridiculously helpful, helped us with cabs (and you can get a longer line of them from the MGM), and was funny as hell. I should also mention that if you use a firm pillow, you may want to bring your own. Down pillows are not the business when you're used to neck support.
6:30am flight back to the Bay with quick security check and me being knocked out on the plane since we'd stayed out all night until 4:45, only going back to pack for half an hour. Also, props to TSA for letting me through when I was probably still a bit drunk. Thanks folks!
