Hello. I'm going to be in town for a convention for the dates listed above and still need to book a hotel. I would like to be on the strip and I basically just want to know where I can find the most reliable hotel deals online. Should I wait until the week of the trip to book or do it as soon as possible? I wouldn't think the 2nd weekend of January would be a very busy time in Vegas so there should be some decent rates?

The 1st week is CES and the 3rd week is World of Concrete and a huge Hunting and Fishing Conference (both will approach 100K in total), but the 2nd week looks pretty slow actually. I'm gonna be there midweek 11-13th and got really good rates at the Hard Rock. I'm sure the strip properties will reflect that as well.Comment

Just use one of those discount code websites. I use http://www.mycheapvegas.com, they usually have the latest deals available. If you're on a budget, I'd stick with the Harrahs properties, as no resort fees. Probably flamingo, ballys, or if you're really on a budget, go with imperial palace.
