  • 2 Aussies Planning 1st Trip to Vegas in April

Well the time has come for me to finally make my mark on Vegas next year for the first time.

Hopefully you Vegas gurus can help me sort out some planning.
I will be coming from Australia and have my Flights booked for the 22nd-29th April.

It will be just myself and my brother who are both mid 20s.

Originally we were going to hire an SL63 AMG and drive from LAX to Vegas but after I enquired and found out how many extra chargers there are we could not justify $2k for a 24 hour rental.

We will now fly for LAX to LV and spend that extra coin we saved on the car hire at the Vegas Speedway driving the Ferrari and Lambo - Have any of you guys done this?

In regards to accommodation we have been thinking 4 nights at Hard Rock and 3 nights at the Palms.
We are there to party and nothing but apart from the Exotic car driving and maybe indoor skydiving one day so we want to stay at party orientated/friendly hotels.

Do you guys think that plan sounds good? I have seen a few cheap deals around for 1 Bedroom suites at the Palms place for later in the week and we might get a suite at HR maybe 2 of the nights as we may have 2 mates in town.

The plans for clubbing are not fixed yet and I will read the threads a bit more but at this stage the only things we want to lock in are as follows:

    Fri Night - ?
Sat - Wet Republic - out after no table but try get guestlist
Sunday - Rehab -out after no table but try get guestlist
Monday - Recover then out out
Tues-Thurs - These are the days we will probably get tables as we figure there should be better deals as its midweek.

Hopefully the pool season has started as we know it will be very close to open at Rehab but Wet Republic "should" have opened.

If you guys have any ideas or thoughts I would love to hear.
We are also open to sharing tables if anyone is keen as there will only be 2 of us 90% of the time.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to maybe meeting some of you when we tear Vegas apart!

Do you guys really think its worth staying on the strip? It seems like its a massive walk from place to place even on the strip.
We dont mind catching cabs when needed.

We are still thinking 4 nights Hard Rock standard room and trying for an upgrade and getting a 1 bed room suite at Palms place for the last 3 nights.

Everything I have read has said these 2 places are up there in terms of top party hotels and the prices seem decent.

Is it worth booking now or waiting and also should I book the LAX - Vegas flight now or will the price go down?

i don't mind strip or off strip, especially both hardrock and palms have party vibes. But some people really enjoy the energy of the strip and just being able to walk out into that energy and roam around drunk is fun to many. I think you'll be fine either way.

As for booking flights, if the prices are agreeable to you then go ahead, although prices may drop.

            Thanks for that.
I guess we will just book as the flights return are about $180 for the times we want.
I have seem them for $120 or so but the times do not suit.
Once this comes closer I will definanatly be keen to hook up with some people off here to share a table or two.
