  • March 17th - March 20th...NCAA Tourney & St Patty's Day Weekend

Some buddies and I are heading out for the first time and I just had a few questions.....

    1. How's the weather and will the pools be open in mid-March? I've been tracking weather.com and the forecasted temps for March but that still doesn't tell the story as to rather or not the pools will be open during our stay.

    2. I've heard that LV is pretty nuts during this weekend and that's also one of the reasons why we decided to head out. However, from your experiences is ALL that different from other times of the year?

    3. Any other suggestions/advice on clubs, hotels, or general recommendations will also be greatly appreciated as well.

    Thanks

I been to Vegas 2 times during St Patty's Weekend. Last year weather was pretty good, during the day it was really warm, night time it got little cold but it wasn't bad at all, I was staying at MGM and Wet Republic was open. I am not sure about the other pools but they should be open too around that time.

Both times I was there around St Patty's Day weekend I had a blast, Vegas usually busy all around the year but it felt more alive around this time. Keep that in mind Spring Break for most colleges around this time too so you do see lot younger crowd everywhere.

For clubs as lot of other people will suggest here you can hit up; Tao, XS, Surrender, Tryst, new club Marquee, Vanity, clubs at Palms. Depending on the days you gonna be here you can setup your schedule for this clubs. For example; Thursday's; Tao or Tryst, Friday; Marquee, Saturday; Surrender, Sunday; XS etc..

For hotels; it depends on how much money you wanna spend on hotels; if you just want to place for crash, shower, change and doesn't really care about the room that much but you want a hotel on strip in that case you can stay at more budget friendly hotels like; Luxor, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Flamingo etc. If you want high end room for your stay in that case you can go for ; Encore, Wynn, Palazzo, Bellagio etc. More advanced you book the hotels better deals you will get. Palms and Hard Rock little far away from the strip but they are party hotels and they intend to attract more younger crowds.

If you want to setup a bottle service or get into the clubs with no hassle you can contact the hosts on this website for each club (close to the date) and get that all setup.

      Yellow,

Thanks for you help. After taking a look around the site I'm def planning on contacting a few of the respective hosts to help setup our bottle service and such. I've heard so much about the pool scene out there so I'm hoping the weather is legit and we can make it happen and get the party started right during our visit.

In terms of hotel cost, you basically called it, moreso looking of a place to crash, shower, and change. More $$$ to party and gamble with.

btw - i'm feeling your signature...i'm a big Cudi fan myself

Went last year man around that time since it was my birthday and it was fun times. Weather i wanna say was in the 70's during the day and it wasn't too bad at night if i can remember correct but the strip was packed and the ride home was even worse but all in all a good time.

Oh btw last year we spend a great time over at Nine Fine Irishmen @ NY NY on St Patty's day. They had a live entertainment over at the bridge (front of the NY NY) and they had a great specials at Nine Fine Irishmen. I was extremely drunk when we left there.

I was there same time last year. It was pleasant during the day but not warm enough for the pool. I think it's just chance with the weather, if you can hit a warm streak.

We went out to TAO on Friday and had a blast. We were with a big group for a bach party (17-18 guys) and had a table upstairs on the pool deck. It got colder at night but still wasn't bad outside (they had heaters too). The waitresses we had helping us at our table were awesome too, but they make stiff ass drinks to try to finish the bottles faster to watch it. But the fact that they worked their asses off pouring everyone a drink personally, I didn't mind.

One thing of note is that being outside for 3-4 hours at TAO... everyone got the worst chapped lips the next day. Kinda random but i really wish i had put chapstick on that night.

Out of curiosity, what was it about O’shea’s that made it disappointing? Where are you guys staying this year?

It just wasn't our kind of crowd really, everyone was super wasted and wearing T-shirts and shorts and we had on dress shirts and ties ready to hit LAVO.

ya Osheas on St Patty's is definitely that super drunk scene where everybody is either screaming, puking or has one of those damn yard sticks around there neck the whole night. Nothing wrong with it. If you're looking just to jam out then that might be a good spot. But prepartying there then hitting the club in your good gear might be the wrong move.

Vegas is huge over march madness. Tons of peeps in there betting on the games. If you don't get to the book early you will be waiting in lines in some of these casinos for a grip trying to get a bet down. Really interested to see how some of these sportsbook incorporate that new mobile gaming system where you can basically bet on a game while anywhere in the casino. How fresh is that when you're at the pool rockin out and you want bet Duke not to cover!?!

Exactly my boy wanted a giant green beer so we headed down there then when we got it these ginger chicks tried to scam me into buying them another one so we could race.. That was when I decided it was time to go.
