  • Not looking like "team dude"

    Hey all,

I was looking for any suggestions anyone might have about dress alternatives to a collared shirt and jeans for a guy ("team dude" as Colton puts it). What different things do you guys wear? What have you seen other guys wearing?

For what it's worth, my next trip to Vegas will be in early March so maybe extra layers could be used? I've never been in the winter.

    Thanks!

Some type of sweater and slacks; cardigan with a solid color tee under; throw on a blazer with the collared shirt and jeans, etc...

There aren't really that many different styles of "tops" or "bottoms" for men. Women have all the choice in the world.

I agree with RD. Men don't have crazy options like women. To me, "Team Dude" is the default go to attire. You can always add something to the "Team Dude" look to stand out more and be unique!

You may also try a vest or tie as Jack has stated.

Team Dude is an art form. Not everyone can pull it off.
I swear feels like the last few nights we've been everywhere and back but I just cant remember it all

          Very true.

Look on some clothes shopping sites (i.e. - Express, J. Crew, Banana Republic, etc.) to get an idea of some different combinations/styles.

It's been my experience that dressing up above and beyond the standard Team Dude getup just makes it more likely that people will mistake you for a nightclub employee and ask you for directions to the bathroom. And I would strongly advise against layers no matter what time of year you go. Once the club fills up, it's going to be an inferno, especially if you plan on dancing. And all the outdoor clubs have outdoor heaters.
The only winning move is not to play.

If that's the case then direct them to the washroom in your room
