Wanting to avoid the posers...

My friend and I are from Australia and will be spending a week in Vegas soon.
Both of us hate the kinds of night clubs where it takes forever to get in, it's too packed to move (let alone dance), and everyone goes there because they wish they were famous, they just aren't.

We're both in our early twenties, and, without sounding like a wanker, are pretty attractive, so we don't want to be surrounded by older, really unattractive crowds, and obviously don't want to go anywhere where it's empty and completely dead. We're looking for places in between: Little to no line, more room to move, and with a crowd who are more interested in drinking, dancing and having a good time (or, 'getting loose' as we aussies say) than appearing cool and just, 'there to be seen'.

We also both love 90's music, so if anyone knows of a place that delivers good old fashioned trashy nineties fun on certain nights, that would be awesome.

I know Vegas is renowned for those hip-clubs-full-of-posers, and we'll probably hit one or two of them, but that's not really how we have a good time.

We'd appreciate any advice/tips,

If you don't want posers then your best best would be to Tier1 clubs like Tryst,XS,Surrender, etc. If you won't want to wait in line, get in touch with a host from this site, get on their guestlist, and get a bunch of girls. OR grease the host when you get to the club.

I think Pollyesthers @ the Stratosphere is now closed. I went there several times and it was too big.

_infection, you don't say if you're male or female Based on your use of the word "wanker", I would think you're male. But, based on your use of the word "attractive", I'd think you're female.

Honestly, I can't think of any club that plays trashy (aka cheesy) 90s music.

I suggest you focus on going out during the week and avoid the big clubs on the weekend. You'll get less of the weekend warriors and those from neighbouring states coming in for the "one-hitter quitter".
