  • Hip Hop/Top 40

Great site, I've gained so much info from this board that I didn't know on my previous trips to Vegas! Are there any particular clubs/lounges that play a majority of hip hop/R&B & Top 40? We're not into Techno or Electronic music at all unless we are REALLY drunk ! Or do most clubs pretty much mix it up all night? Thanks!

It tends to vary by DJ and night. Most places play a mix although the trend in Vegas is becoming more and more house. Tao might be a good option as you can jump between the main and opium rooms as they play different music.

House is the norm now in Vegas as most clubs will spin house the majority of the time. Certain nights at certain places will still have hip hop/top 40. Like what Drew said, it all depends on the DJ.

From my experience, the clubs at Wynn/Encore spin majority house w/ top 40 hip hop mixed in on the weekends. Tao has different rooms for different music.

Marquee is built as a club that is strictly for house/electronic music. They have certain side rooms w/ top 40 n hip hop but the main focus is EDM (electronic dance music)

That's what I figured, I've been to Tao and think it just gets way too crowded in there. Thanks for the info, we will just play it by ear I guess or get really drunk so the music won't matter!

Voodoo Lounge in the Rio has a good 90s night as well as a predominately hip hop room. Caramel in the Bellagio plays a lot of hip hop as well. Drai's After Hours has a hip-hop room as well. Pure in Caesar's does a lot of hip hop/top 40 on the weekend and so does The Bank in the Bellagio.

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but Poetry in Caesar's is no more, right? They were a straight hip-hop club and Jazzy Jeff used to spin there regularly.
          I'm on a horse.

Gone I believe. Someone did post here recently though that a lot of the staff from poetry works Sat night at Crown (Rio) and has turned Sat into their hip hop night.

Thanks a lot, been wanting to check out Caramel at Bellagio, I heard it was a nice chill spot. Are there any reviews on Crown yet?

Do you have a contact for Vanity? I contacted the listed host but haven't heard back from her yet.

If you want strictly hip-hop and R&B, Crown on Saturdays is definitely the hot spot right now if you enjoy partying with an urban crowd. See crown2011.com for pics etc.

Check the Ghostbar lineup and see if DJ 88 is playing.

She had the sickest mix of hip hop. Not so much Top 40 stuff, but a lot of Old School.

                          I highly endorse her.

Jet, Moon and The Bank come to mind as places whose DJ's play a lot of hip hop/top 40.
