Wife's first time in Vegas this is the plan

Well i've been putting it off as long as possible but i think 2 months advance and it's time to really get excited about planning my wifes first trip to vegas. I have a feeling after this i won't be going solo anymore but it was bound to happen sooner or later.

First off the last couple of times i've gone because of this site i've managed to really take advantage and do it right with the table service but with just me and the wife going she doesn't drink enough to validate table service which sux.......this is the plan so far see what you think or add your suggestions.

We are going in Feburary flying in Thurs afternoon leaving Monday Afternoon.

Thursday- Dinner and stay at the club either TAO or LAVO

Friday- dinner (somewhere close to NY NY)......(Show) Zumanity then (She really wants to see Ghost bar and Rain so i'm thinking VIP Drink Band for me and regular VIP Band for her) OR Marquee?

SAT- (Dinner) Craftsteak or Nobhill at MGM.....(show) KA.....(club) XS or Tryst

Sunday- (Dinner) Olives.........(show) "O"..........(club) Bank or LAVO

Friday Dinner Meal.... depends on what you're looking to spend... across the street from NYNY is Joel Robuchon @ The Mansion at MGM Grand - an epic meal. Also not too far is Twist by Pierre Gagnaire @ Mandarin Oriental City Center.

On Friday, the All Access Wristbands aren't a bad idea as you guys can go to whichever venue at The Palms.

Saturday... Tryst or XS for a party of two, might be difficult. If I had my wife along, I'd probably opt for an Ultra-Lounge like Blush (Wynn) or Surrender (Encore).

Sunday - In my humble opinion, toss The Bank out of the mix and decide between Marquee or Lavo.

Just my 2 cents... either way you slice it, you'll have a great time!

If I were you, I would do XS/Tryst or rather Haze on Friday and Rain on Saturday night. I don't think there is a better party on Saturday nights than the one at Rain.

Okay so we changed it up a little we are dropping "O" from the trip and adding "MYSTERE" for Sunday.........we are going to do LAVO after does anyone know when is the earliest you can make dinner reservations to get stamped to come back into the club......or what the latest reservations you can make to eat and stay are......i'm trying to determine what time to by our MYSTERE tickets for 7 or 9:30. I was figuring eating first getting stamped running across to TI for the show them going back or watching show first then eating at the latest possible reservation to stay there afterwards.

Hmmm...why do you think it will be difficult for them to get into Tryst Saturday? I've gone with just my boyfriend w/o any problems. In fact, we got pulled out of the line!

Both TAO and LAVO do their reservations via phone or online at www.opentable.com. OpenTable lists LAVO's first seating at 5:00pm and the last seating is at 12:45am on Saturdays. Keep in mind though that the later you have dinner, the louder the restaurant will be. The nightclub is upstairs, but the restaurant level is also a large lounge which will get noisier as the night goes on. I've eaten there a few times and usually book dinner for around 8:00ish and it's always been fine.

^^^^^^^ thanks i appreciate the info........also i was talking to the wife cause i'm planning everything and now she is telling me she wants one night to strictly gamble after one of the shows..........boreing but now i have to choose........we are definatley doing TAO........thursday........and LAVO..........SUNDAY.........we are going to do a show and gamble all night either Friday or Saturday.......what would be your can't miss place one of those 2 nights?

If it lives up to the hype, I'd say Marquee on a Saturday would be a can't miss (I'll know after NYE weekend). It should be great on a Friday too, so you may want to see who is DJing those nights when the date grows closer and go with the one you like more.

Agreed, probably suggest Marquee if it ends up as good as we're all hoping, otherwise Tryst, XS or Surrender. Those would be my choices anyways..

I've never done tryst before I think that might be a good choice....i heard the waterfall is sick I think my wife would be amazed with that
