    Crazy!!!

An armed individual robbed the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas Tuesday, CNBC has confirmed.

The perpetrator, who arrived and fled by motorcycle, made off with roughly $1.5 million in casino chips, according to a statement released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Still wearing his motorcycle helmet, the robber quickly approached a craps table, where he pulled a gun before fleeing with the chips, the report also said.

The suspect is described as a white male.

Police said they suspect the individual may be the same person who robbed a Las Vegas Suncoast Casino poker room just days ago. That perpetrator also fled on a motorcycle.

What kind of idiot steals chips from a casino?
The only winning move is not to play.

        He was chillin'.

What are you going to do with that many chips though? I guess you could cash them in but it'd take years to do it at a rate where they wouldn't get suspicious.

I'd wager that it was someone from Cosmo who realized they needed more chips for the Grand Opening...

All they'd need is some spraypaint and a stencil.

The report is that they were chips ranging from $100-$25k denominations. Over time (not necessarily years), with a crew...you could EASILY cash that out. Especially in a place like that, where they are used to seeing big money come in and go out.

There may be RFIDs implanted, sure. That counters counterfeiting. But they're just there to say, "Hey, this is a legit $1k chip" and not, "this is chip number 8675309".... at least until you get to the really big chips (or so I've heard). I've seen smaller chips from the 70's in play, so he could just wait until retirement and bring them back into play at a much later date.

I wanna know how he made it in and out untouched. A guy walking into a casino with a full face helmet on doesn't set off red flags? Obviously not, since he ran straight past the reception desk and made it to the the interior casino floor and back...with ~50-100 lbs., if not more, of chips! (which is a massive amount of weight to be slinging on a sport bike)

As a motorcyclist myself, I just want to know what kind of bike he had...

A few more gems about this whole incident:
                              - While trying to "wash" the stolen chips, the guy lost a ton playing 10/20+ at the bellagio. It's almost comical how many high stakes players suspected he was involved in the robbery, but why turn in some dude who's dumping so much money into the games.
                              - He opened an account on the largest poker forum under the handle "oceanspray25" and was looking for potential buyers for the cranberries about as conspicuously as one could possibly go about such a thing.
Oceanspray25 --> Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice --> 25k chips at the bellagio are called cranberries
                              - The moron sent this to one of the "potential buyers" from the forum who is the person who eventually turned him in:
