Do any of the Mega Clubs have slow nights? Do any Clubs/Ultra Lounges play 80's?

I'm in Vegas Dec 18-22 Saturday through Wednesday. Its going to be me and my bud, and we want to do some club hoppin'. We're NOT getting bottle service because its just me and him and we're not drinking that much alcohol (Were just social drinking with beer).

So, we are pretty much trying to advoid long lines and over crowded clubs. I like the extra room for walking around and dancing. I hate over crowded clubs. We'll be decked out with sports coats, collared shirts, dress shoes, so the entrance shouldn't be a problem. Anyone have any tips on what clubs might be a good fit. Here is what I know from internet sources:

Revolution Lounge: average line 10 mins
Blush: average line 15 mins
Lavo: average line 20 mins
VooDoo Lounge: Up to 3/4 hr wait
Tabu: Up to 1 1/2 hours
CatHouse: Up to 1/2 HR wait
Eye Candy: FREE; No wait
Carnival Court: No wait
V-Bar: No wait
Double Down Saloon:

The only places I've been on that list are VooDoo Lounge and Carnival Court. Both are good places. I think a lot folks here might not advocate Carnival Court, but I met the most down to earth chicks there in Vegas the night I went.

I'm not sure about Blush, I saw a video on the club and it just looked to trendy to me. And the Cathouse, is that an actually night club with a dj and dance floor? Lavo looks really good from the video.

For Mega Clubs, the average line is around 45-90 mins or up to 2 or 3 hr wait. Thats a little much for me, but I'm thinking maybe some of the less hip clubs like Jet may have slow nights. I'm not really sure tough. Anyone here have anygood recommendations.

I ended up at Caramel in Bellagio one night by accident. Pretty chilled spot, good mix of music (DJ was spinning old school 90's the night I was there...awesome) not overly crowded. It's more of a pre-post game type spot, but you may want to give it a shot.

I never been to Vegas with large group, always its me +1 or +2. So never done the bottle service at the clubs. But i been to many of the mega clubs with no hassle.

If you are not looking to do bottle service in that case you have couple different options to get in (I done all of these options and successfully skipped the huge lines) 1) Contact the hosts listed on this website for the clubs you wanna hit up and ask them what they can do for you guys to skip the lines. You gonna have to pay the cover + grease the host in most cases for this option. 2) Get to the club you want to hit up early like (around 10)or late (after 1:30 A.M.), especially the days you gonna be there lines should be reasonable around those times, you can pay the cover or if you can find a complimentary passes for those clubs you can get in for free. 3) Find girls. Go around the club you wanna get in; socialize with the group of girls, offer them to walk inside together after that walk up to the host and in most cases they will let you in easily with the girls.

All of these options works great for the group of 2 or 3 guys. More guys in your group harder for you to get in (especially with no bottle service) this is why I like to do my Vegas trips (if I am only rolling with guys ) with +1 or +2.

And far as ultra lounges/bars goes I always had a great time at casino bars in MGM (especially the center bar across the Studio 24). Mix lounge in Mandalay bay, V-Bar in Venetian, Revolution Lounge in Mirage, Carnival Court, The Bar at times square in NY NY, The Heart Bar in PH are good places to hit up and you don't have to worry about crazy lines or paying cover at this places (unless if there is a special event or something going on).

Only place I had paid a cover far as ultra lounge goes to was Tabu in MGM. And i enjoyed my time in there. Blush looks like a pretty good spot too, I really want to check it out on my next trip.

P.S.: For mega clubs if you want to avoid the large crowds than I would suggest skip them on Saturday night for sures. And I would suggest XS on Sunday night, place is huge you dont feel over crowded in there (unless if you are in the middle of the dance floor) and Sunday nights are pretty chill there.

And my suggestion is if you are going to hit up mega clubs go to them when you are really buzzed this way you dont have to keep fighting to get drinks every 10 minutes/spend a little fortune on them too and when you loaded you don't really care about the fact that place is over crowded. lol

If you want to skip lines, then get on the guestlist and get a bunch of girls. OR grease the host and you will be in with minimal wait.

From what you said, it sounds like we have somewhat similar taste in regards to liking some space as well as liking Voodoo Lounge and the Carnivale - I'd like to say that I've been to Voodoo Lounge several times and never had to really wait in a line. There would either be noone in front of me or not more than 5 people. It seems like they change up their days a lot but one day of the week they play like 70's, 80's 90's or something. Though it ended up being mostly late 80's/early 90's the time I went on that night.

In regards to space, XS is great especially because of the outside area.

The Playboy Club had a good variety of music the night that I went there (from Eddie Money to Crazy Town). Awesome bartenders that night and it has probably the best view for playing video poker...It's not so much of a night club though.

Yeah, we're going to do XS Sunday night and just show-up at 10. I don't mind waiting an hour or less if its the first club of the night. Sounds like everything else will be the Ultra Longes and Casino Bars. Might hit some other Megas Clubs after 1:30 if the line looks decent. Thanks for the Tips!!

I would say for sure check out MIX and also at mandalay bay u can try one of my favorite spots for medium crowd and good music is Foundation Room. Has its own private elevator and hardly ever a line over 15 min and drink prices are reasonable for such a cool looking place and you are allowed to sit on empty couches inside and outside where the view of the strip is incredible!
