Here's a good article about what to expect with Savile Row opening up in Luxor on NYE 2011:

From reading that, I either see them changing the level of 'exclusivity' or closing in a year or two. 300 memberships is not a lot at all, especially for a place like Vegas, where people/places come and go. Even super exclusive places (i.e. Bungalow8 in NYC or Pangaea [which closed], both mentioned in the article) eventually open to the "public". It's the only way to sort of guarantee a steady/stable flow of income.

When I see the name saville row it reminds me of the brand clothing sold at macys geared for granpas. This place is going to fail hard.

hahahaha, thats probably who the clientele will be. I don't see spot inside the Luxor having a lot of success that is a private club. Maybe if it was located inside the Wynn/Encore it may have a chance of succeeding, but that's a big if. The only way they would stay in business, is if they make 1 night a private/members/invited party and the rest open to the public.

I thought of that exact thing when I first heard it also.

Laugh, I just read the link. 2000 SF? You kidding me? What's the max capacity going to be ? 25? this place is going to be strictly atax write-off. Do you think celebs are going to pay top $ where they can't showboat in front of the general public ? Nah.

Prolly gonna be a place for invited guests with money and connections can go cheat on there spouses with the guestlist girls who are visiting Vegas......and promise "discretion" and exclusivity. Hmmm tiger woods?

not all ideas are good ones , this place will be hated on. Flunk fail squadoosh

I think you're reading it wrong regarding the membership and invited guest entry only. The start of the article made me think it the same way as well.

The way I originally read it was that you have to be a member (ala how the Foundation Room used to be outside of Mondays) or get some kind of invitation from the club sent to you in order to get admission.

However, membership just guarantees admission/skip lines/private concierge stuff...

The "invited guests" part is just their way of trying to be fancy for the people who they let inside the club.

Savile Row gatekeeper Mike Diamond will call all the shots and let in who he sees fit as the new venue will reserve the right of admission. As the lines start to form, guests are encouraged to come dressed to impress and ready to dish out why they deserve to get past the velvet rope.
So you can still line up like any other club, it'll just probably be harder to get in - especially considering how small the place will be.

But agreed that they'll eventually end up loosening up on being restrictive on who they let in.

Yeah unless they fill the place with Saudi oil sheiks I have a hard time thinking the exclusivity will last.

2000sq ft? That's like a decent sized suite.

Great, it's going to look like a Perry Como convention. I bet the place smells of Vick Vapo-Rub and prunes.
                          I'm on a horse.
