Opinions needed on lost ID situation

A girl I know just lost her driver's license and is going to vegas in a week.

Will a temporary ID from the dmv plus an expired passport do the job?

If not, do y'all have any suggestions for her? thanks.

If temporary ID has her picture with her birthdate I think temporary ID should be fine. And just in case I would take that expired passport too. There are few club hosts on the forum I believe they should be able to give you the best answer on this.

only a year at most. picture still looks good.

If it's a case where a Drivers License was "confiscated", then they should be able to get a State Issued ID card that will do the trick.

My friend got into everywhere she tried with an expired license so I don't know why an expired passport wouldn't have the same success.

from my friend's experience, as long as you have the paper print out and an expired picture ID, it should be fine

Haha yeah I think I got a little carried away this year...had a great summer tho! Going out with a bang for sure NYE weekend. I've thought about writing TRs but I usually have trouble trying to piece together the days and nights when I get back home after a trip haha.

just take both the passport and renewal paper. Should be good to go. And like a debit/credit card wouldn't be to bad either haha

I would try to get a state Id. But really they can be as strict as they want to. I think an old passport and paper from the dmv should be OK. Just be nice and smile!

if they are like 21.. it wont work.. if a bit older.. it will work most places... no state ID?!

She's 23, and she lost her state ID, her driver's license. But the dmv does give out a temporary ID without the pic.

State ID would be the safest bet. Some people will be strict in regards to what they'll accept and others won't care as much.

A few years ago I had a corner piece broken off of my license and basically kicked out of the Aladdin because that made it be an invalid license (and that was the hotel I was staying at!). Luckily I knew someone that knew a higher up at the Aladdin to get it taken care of...Anyways, they were the only place that cared about that and only 1 guy. So an expired passport might be allowed by some people that ask for ID, others might deny it.
