  • New Years Day Plans?

    Hey guys, first post here.

Apologies for the "newb" questions in advance, but wanted to get some feedback.

Since I won't be able to make it down there for NYE, me and 2 other friends (all guys) will be heading down there on 1/1..

This will be our 1st trip to Vegas (3 nights), so we'd like to skip the lines or at least avoid spending any serious time in them on our budget.

We'll actually be meeting up with another group of friends (4 others) and looking to party somewhere with them.

    Let the stupid questions commence:

    1. Would anyone have any opinions or resources to assist in making plans for that night? Ideally, we're looking for a "tier 1" club, with descent table accommodations (budget of 250pp?) Is that budget even realistic or are we definitely going to have to up it a bit?

    2. Since we're a group of 7 dudes, would it be best to find something separately, for 1 group of 4 and one of 3 or would it be to our benefit (time wise and $$$) to go as one big group and split 2 tables or so?

    3. A friend mentioned XS and I've seen a couple of other mentions already on the boards (Tao/Surrender...), would anyone have any particular recommendations for New Years Day?

    4. I'm getting the feel that it would def. be a mistake not to make arrangements on wherever we choose in advance, but it may be hard getting everyone to commit, would that just be a huge mistake not doing so...?

Any links to pricing for that night or info. on pricing would be greatly appreciated, new to this and still trying to figure out what our budget should be looking like for 1/1-1/4 (big party night being saturday and probably looking to go out again, albeit on a smaller scale on Sunday/Monday), just in terms of the clubbing aspect of the trip.

Thanks for any help in advance, greatly appreciated.

Check the other thread on the forum. Kaskade at Marquee is the place to be.

          Thanks for quick replies.

Any idea what tables are looking like that night for a group of 7 looking to skip the line...?

What would be our best plan of attack, 2 separate groups (3 and 4) or 1 large group of 7? Suggestions on host contacts for there from personal experience?

          Thanks again.

Tables will be sold out. From what I heard it will be a $2k minimum, but can get bumped up depending on requests, which I think will happen. What you can do is go online and buy pre-sale tix for $30. If you need a host, contact either Justen Crews or Larson Legris their info is on the contact page.

250 per person should be good. NYE prices are high, but from last years experience, 1/1 everything went back to normal. If you're doing tables, I suggest one group of 7. Some places start at 2 bottle mins and you don't want to have 2 bottles for a group of 3 and 2 bottles for a group of 4 if you can get 2-3 bottle min for 7 usually. If you're not getting bottles, then dividing up and each group trying to get in separately would be a good option.

Justen got back to me earlier about Marquee for 1/1 and said that table pricing will be dependent on demand. Given that this is their "official" grand opening (they open NYE for Morillo), tables will be sold out and the mins will be high. Justen has quoted me tables will start at 2k but i would think they will end up between 3-5k min given the hype and Kaskade.

Appreciate the heads up, think that's def. going to be out of our budget.

Any other reccomendations for Nyears day? Something with a nice mixed crowd, mixed music (including solid source of hip hop, top 100 stuff, little regae, little house i guess?).

Hope everyone's day is going well.

If there was ever a time to forgo bottle service, it'd be this night. Think about getting the presale tix to Marquee while they are cheap and experience the opening weekend of one of the most hyped clubs in Vegas ever. Not to mention Kaskade is spinning that night. I think it's going to be extremely hard to get in without having a ticket, especially for guys. Save the extra money you would have spent on BS this night and then get a nice table the next night at somewhere like XS, Vanity or LAVO which all have great Sundays.

You could always start earky hit two clubs that night. Get tye 30 dollar tix for marquee and book a table at another club. I agree with the other replies. Can't miss marquee.
