  • A dress code question

    Just a quick question guys.

Will the clubs/lounges let you in if you are dressed up nice (nice jeans, nice buttondown maybe with sportcoat)

and you have new converse all stars on?

Its cool in ny here where I go out everywhere, but all the times I been to vegas they were bitchy at some places about sneakers.

If you've had trouble in the past, I'd wear some nicer shoes.

I wouldnt risk it, I've seen a doorman walk the line with a flashlight at peoples feet and kickin away guys with sneakers on. but then again if you have a table then I'm sure you could get away with sneakers as long as their nice.

          Let's expand this topic further:

Seems like all the ladies wear a hot party dress. So my wife's got herself a new black dress. But it sounds like guys wear jeans and never (or hardly) dress pants or a great suit, etc. So I would then wear the tried and true collar shirt, dark jeans, with leather shoes and probably a vest. Or I've got a vintage tweed sport coat I've been trying to get out of the closet.

Anyway... is this just what the dudes flying solo wear? 'Cause if my girl's wearing a dress I want to look like I showed up with her, y'know? I can't be the only one. But I also don't want to be the one guy on his way home from the office.

I worn my chucks to pure, and BE. I didnt have table service, but it does help if you do. It is risky. Just have a backup plan.

iot varies place to place person to person doorman to doorman day to day! if you are getting a table I dont think you will have a problem, if you dont have a hook to get in DONT RISK IT, if you are standing in line you want to be the best dressed one so there are no issues.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

Agreed. Are wearing your chuck's worth wasting part of your night going back to the room after you were in line?

If not, (and no shoes are worth my precious Vegas time!) just go with some good looking dress shoes. You can still look good and stand out.

I usually wear some dress pants with a dress shirt just because I want to look my best, now if my lady was just looking amazing the way she dressed then I will do my best to do the same.

I'm with the OP on this one. I wear slimmer jeans and dress shoes are just too damn bulky for them, giving you a goofy look. The low profile of Chucks is usually a perfect match.

Are 'designer' sneakers allowed? I'm not even sure what designer sneakers are, to be honest lol.

                        How about metallic silver Chucks?

or something like this,my friend wears these out in nyc often

point being, i'm sick of black and brown dress shoes. I thought Vegas was all about standing out and style. Its not like I wanna wear Nike dunks to the damn club haha

With the shoes you posted, it really depends on the doorman. If you have table reservations, you probably wont have a problem. Other than that your taking a chance.
