More than X people in room

Me and my buddies are going to vegas for my 21st bday. There is going to be about 6 of us. We were planning on getting a big suite(2bdrm) and splitting it evenly. I was wondering if we were to book it saying only 2 people are staying and just sneak the rest in there, would anything happen? Has anyone had experience with this? Let me know! Thanks guys

I haven't done it personally but have read about people doing it, especially at cheaper places. I don't think you'll run into a problem. Just ask for extra key cards when checking in.

You'll be fine as most 2bdr suites are for 6 people. What I would recommend is just get a room at the Venetian...comes with 2queen beds and sofa sleeper.

I agree... unless you guys are trashin' the place or really making lots of noise, I doubt they'll even notice. 6 guys for a 21st B-Day party? In Las Vegas? Good luck keeping the low profile in the room! I'm assuming you'll be there for multiple days, so be sure to tip the maid $5-$10 a day, cause I'm thinkin' she'll have a bit of work to do and IMHO she's the only one who could tip-off mgt. that there's a large group staying in the room.

That said, it'd be hard for her to really tell the difference between several people staying there and a party that went on the night before. Don't trash the room, tip her a bit and she'll have no reason to say anything.

Hopefully, you've also selected a property that is somewhat "accomodating" the kinda time you're looking to have... meaning you're not going to Wynn/Encore or the like. Hard Rock, Planet Hollywood, Hooter's, etc. seem to tolerate more noise, later than the upscale properties.

Ive done this in the past, it's just a matter of having just the 2 people on the reservation check-in...don't all mob the check in desk, have who ever checks In Get a couple extra room keys(most places require them to get on the elevator so yeah you'll need extras) and as stated before don't trash the place and you'll be fine.

I've done it before and no problems. However, it was uncomfortable with all the snoring and drunken yelling. I would suggest you grab 3 separate rooms and get them close to each other. I promise you'll have a better time that way, and it'll probably be cheaper than booking the suite as well.

I have done this so many times I can't even count haha. From 3-star to 5-star hotels, it has never been a problem at all. Just have 2 people go up to the front desk and get keys at check-in. have the other buddies hang in the lobby somewhere. after you check-in, link back up with them. Then when you go to the elevators go in two groups of 3 people, each group having one of the keys. Most nicer hotels have a person checking keys at the elevator lobby, but if there is no one there then splitting the group up is not an issue. You can actually all probably get to the elevators by showing 1 key but just in case I always keep it to 3 or 4 people.
