Haha, first of all don't get ripped off by booking with Expedia or something. I'm cheap and have to book it at the lowest prices or I get angry at myself. For a may trip, the specials should start appearing a few months early, so just check back at one of those specials sites every couple weeks or something. I use http://www.mycheapvegas.com.

Secondly, only bring as much money as you're willing to lose.

Thirdly, plan everything you're going to do on your trip and try to follow your schedule. 6 days may seem a lot but with all the gambling, drinking, and eating, it's actually not that much.

Maybe consider renting a car so you can experience downtown or hoover dam and other Las Vegas attractions you might not usually go to.
