any good hotel deals for Dec 5th-8th 2010?

Hey JC'ers!!

looking to visit vegas for Dec 5-8th. Its kinda last minute for booking but i was wondering if anyone knew any good deals.. say an email alert.. or coupon code.. Would really like to stay on the strip.

My buddies are getting rooms at hooters and ive never stayed there but it looked pretty basic when i went. I saw some casino slots.. a restaurant and thats it. Would anyone care to rate Hooters hotel?

I think Tropicana has some deal for buy 2nights get 3rd free..??....Looks look pretty good for the price, which is $50/nt I think.

I saw on expedia.com the HRH is 59 a night or Planet hollywood at 87 bucks a night. PH on the strip would be nice

For a sun-weds trip which hotel would be better? Looking for a hotel to have fun in too so which hotel would be pop'in during the early week?

Well you are going during a slow time, so I doubt anything will be popping during those days. I would just get a room at PH, since you will be on strip. All the money you would save from being at HRH will be spent on cab rides.

Check out this link. Put in you're dates, and it looks like around $71 per night! And since PH doesn't have resort fee's all you'll pay extra is tax, and you got a great deal. I've stayed at PH before and it has a great Vibe. I definitely would stay there over the HardRock, like the saying goes, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION ... plus yes you'll either spend $$$ on cabs or Huff it by foot and be sorry you did! Too bad they don't have these same prices in January for my next trip, but then again weekends are a premium in Vegas for sure.

ps.. oh yeah .. last trip I went in October this year, my Best Friend was playing quarter slots and hit a $1000 jackpot there, so maybe you'll be lucky too!

One place I have seen with cheap rates is the Orleans. It's on Tropicana just west of the strip.

Most of the middle-tiered hotels seem to be having some pretty good deals lately for December. NY-NY, PH, and others. NY-NY had a pretty stellar deal last week on Facebook starting at $44 a night, with an upgraded room/strip view. Just be careful when comparing and be sure to include the nasty "resort fees". I think there are a few hotels that advertise they they don't charge resort fees, but it's my guess that it's already included in the overall nightly rate.

I'd book this one as well, its the best location, great atmosphere, and is the cheapest I've ever seen for Planet Hollywood.

The palms has $89 a night room, with $89 dollar room credit per night. which is damm hard to beat.
