I'm going to be visiting w/ my wife and in-laws. Previous trips to Vegas was with my friends, so we pretty much only pre-gamed at the hotel, hit casino bars before 10:30 and the clubs after. We didn't really check out any other bars.

Clubs are out of the question this trip, so what are some fun places to hang out? Looking for a slightly older crowd but not too old - just looking to avoid swarms of drunken college kids this trip. Any fun piano bars?

Also, any cheaper places to drink in general would be good to know.

Dont know any piano bars... I'd try various restaurant/casino bars. If you want older, maybe bars in Bellagio/venetian/palazzo. Might also check out this happy hour list-

For what you describe, I think the Rush Lounge on the casino floor of the Golden Nugget downtown is kinda cool, as is The Griffin and/or the Downtown Cocktail Room just a bit down the street from there.

The Heart Bar in Planet Hollywood is a pretty good spot. If you're a sports fan, Emeril's Stadium at the Palazzo is a lot of fun.

And if you want a quite place to chill, I like the Fireside Lounge at Peppermill. It's a good place for after going to bars as it's 24 hours
