Week of DEC 18th

Going the week before Xmas(saturday dec 18th-24th). Got some free flights and going out with a buddy. Staying at Planet Hollywood. It will be our first time in Vegas. Had some questions.

We were told vegas will be dead this week?

What clubs should be go that will have at least some people and stuff going on?

Do you think we have a better chance of getting an upgrade at the PH since its a a dead week?

Any other suggestions?

What kind of room rate did you get at PH? I will be in town for the weekend at NYNY with a solid room rate and free upgrade already and a planned sandwich trick once we get there to see what else we can get.

Judging from the same weekend last year, it will likely depend where you go. Friday night, there was ample room to move throughout the Palms clubs with the VIP bracelet. Ghostbar and Rain were the busiest out of the four there. Tao was slammed Saturday night- it was like packing a heard of cattle into two main rooms and a hallway. If we go to Tao again, it will only be with table service.

The strip was busy with people during the day. PH is in a great location and easy walking distance to a lot of places.

I would keep an eye for clubs that may do a short close for some quick cleanup/renovations before NYE. I have Tryst and Vanity on my list for the three nights we'll be there with bottles at one of these places. The third is open pending if we do a show or not. If we do, we'll likely just hit up some smaller bars/pubs in the casino at NY-NY.

My buddy and I have a short list laid out for the Sports Book that weekend along with a visit to the Gun Store while the wives have some Stripper 101 class in mind at PH I think. The wives also have a visit to one of the ice bars in mind. I think there are now 2 locations of Minus 5- one at Mandalay Bay and the other at Monte Carlo. I've been to the Absolute Ice Bar in Shanghai a few years ago- pretty cool even after the novelty wears off after two drinks or so.

Should I use the club guide on this site and for the week I am there?? Any recommendations? We are looking to get the most out of our trip. Will probably spend all day sunday in the sports book.

If you have a good 1:1 or better ratio of male to female and you arrive before 11pm, on most nights most places have a guest list. You place your name on the list through a host and you generally get in free.

You could pull some girls out of line. Or just stand in line a bit early 10:30 ish and pay cover. It's not a super busy time so this strategy is a bit more viable.

well they probably would have gotten in for free without you so you'd have to buy them a couple drinks.
