  • Daughter's 21st Birthday

I am on information overload! Planning a birthday weekend for my daughter, 4 friends/relatives (all girls) and myself. It has been a loooong time since I've been to Vegas and it looks like a lot has changed. So I have lots of questions
1-I don't think we will have a lot of problem getting "into" the clubs-they are all ranging from gorgeous to above average (of course I'm the mom and I'm biased). What is the difference between "front of line" passes, VIP passes, and have checked out lots of the VIP services (but this website says are not necessary) I think I understand what bottle service is-it would be nice to have it/ a place to sit where we could all "meet up" when some go off to dance or socialize etc...... but the cost may be prohibitive (I'm covering hotel and air-they,the poor college kids, have to buy their own booze LOL)
2-We will be there Fri/Sat/Sun--Saturday will be the "big night". Friday-we will not be able to go anywhere until Midnight when she actually turns 21 so the "get there early" doesn't work--any ideas for just some chill clubs/bars that aren't that strict about admission? Not sure what we will do Saturday night-we are still looking at all the clubs etc. What are the suggestions for Sunday night? What's open? What's good? Our flight is not until later Monday (thank God)!!
3-Where is a good place for dinner Saturday before we go out? She wants to catch the Criss Angel show also so it will be a "full" night!
We'll start here--I know it's a long list but help me out with ideas if you can!
I feel sorry for people who don't drink, when they get up in the morning, that's best they're gonna feel all day!

OK! Bottle Service is where you get a table.. buy bottles... (ranging from 400-550 to start.. and it guest WAY up from there) Not needed.. they will will want to run around and have fun.. dance on thigns and be crazy.. Drinks shouldnt be a problem if its all ladies.. (drunk guys offer free drinks all the time!!) uuhm.. Friday night.. Saturday night.. ANYWHERE will be good...

Saturday night your going to see Mind Freak? cool... Pick a restaurant on that side of town.. Mandalay Bay will be a best bet for food.. Dont get me wrong... Luxor has great food.. BUT Mandaly Bay will be MUCH better...

Friday night if you would like.. I will walk everyone into Surrender at Encore.. I hope you like dance Music...

Where are you staying?? My Email and Phone # is at bottom.. give me a call or shoot me a email.. I can answer what ever you need....

        Hmm, I can't answer everything.

But rumor is the Criss Angel show sucks. I'd consider Cirque or something else.

If you get bottle service, you wouldnt have to worry about any type of pass, because you'd be bypassing the line anyways. And chances are if you are all attractive, you should never be waiting in the general admission line.

Dinner - There's tons of good places. You'd have to narrow it down by letting us know your price range.

Yeah I can't say I've ever heard anything good about the Criss Angel show. Cirque would be my vote.

Thanks for all the info! Mikey-I sent you back a PM. And yea the girls LOVE dancing/partying/socializing! We got a package deal out of Colorado on Allegiant so we are at PH (thought it would be good in the center of the strip). I will be in contact! Sounds like you could take care of us Friday night!
bbatt-I have been told the same thing about the Criss Angel show-but she's 20 and it's her birthday-what am I gonna do? LOL As far as dinner--since the girls have to do it themselves, I would say 25-30/entree plus will likely get appetizers/wine on top of that. Probably someplace that has a wide variety of food- a couple of the girls don't eat "red meat" (insert junior high giggles here...)
How about any ideas for daytime stuff (after we all roll out of bed) I assume it will not be pool weather (60*??) May try some gambling, shopping, definately want to see the fremont street experience....

Don't be fooled. Mikey's just trying to make an impression so he can buy your daughter a drink.

I would definitely take Mikey up on help with Surrender for Friday night, a very fun club that night! Sunday night you should think about Vanity or The Bank, both great on Sunday night. Saturday, everything will be crazy so you can't really go wrong. XS is HUGE on Saturday nights, but so are a lot of the other clubs.

mikey will definitely help you guys out. stand-up guy. as for restaurants, if you want something nice and different, you can try aureole at mandalay bay. like mikey said, the options at mandalay are nicer than the options at luxor. and before everyone says its too expensive for your price range, aureole is on restaurant.com if i'm not mistaken. thats a place where you can get a $25 gift certificate for like $3, etc. be sure to read the terms and conditions, however, because it may not be good for a saturday. but nonetheless, there are plenty of other options at mandalay as well.

Ha Ha I'm not sure about the hot mom part but my kids were constantly embarrassed about comments the boys would make in school when I would give sports physicals (I practice medicine-PA not a doc) I did put a pic up with my profile but it is the birthday girl(the guest of honor!) and one of my surrogate daughters--will see if I can round up a decent photo of "mom" LOL.....As far as getting in on the action-I guess we will see It's gonna be awesome!
