Aria vs. Vdara

Any thoughts on this? I can get either for about the same price.

(BTW, Southwest Vacations is offering 2 free nights on 4 night stays right now, which really brings down the price of these nicer properties vs. the cheaper/middle-tier ones)

Aria.

Vdara has resort fees $15 per night, though you get Internet. Plus you have to walk over to Aria for Casino, restaurant or bars. But Vdara is closer to the Bellagio.

I would not want to stay somewhere without a casino... When I'm in vegas I want that. Aria. I want the casino... food... bars... clubs... some people action. If you want the resort / spa type vaca go with Vdara.

I actually jumped on that SW deal today for my trip over Super Bowl Weekend.

That being said, go with Aria. Vdara is a spa/hotel which means it's much more subdued than the party you will find at Aria.

Especially with that SW deal, the pricing they have for Aria is soooo low -

Kinda like the Russian oligarch from the DirecTV commercial, I JUMP IN IT.

Never stayed at Vdara but I stayed at Aria in Jan of this year. AMAZING.

I'd like to try out Aria for sure soon, it seemed nice...I walked through it a couple times. Watch out for peeping toms in the bathrooms though, haha.

On a side note, in the winter you wont have to worry about Vdara's death ray! lol.
