Vets New York, Chap, EG, Nassau, Cisco, Dnix, and any others i missed... sorry been lurking and just see some of these names pop up...
Just want to say again, loving the site and the community, love what it stands for and the people here are the nuts...
Here's scenario #1: You get bottle service at a club (hypothetically speaking lets just say Jet) for Friday night... since the club is a little bit older but still draws a decent crowd you were able to negotiate with the host buy two get one on the bottles. Host does NOT get you the table that you requested. But instead puts you on a much smaller area that still was on the dance floor, just way too small. Bottles with some waters (some of the crew of 12 were dehydrated) comes to $950. You decide to tip the waitress who was wonderfull $200.
Question #1: How much do you tip your host?
Scenario #2: That same host gets you on a guestlist for another club for the next night... You walk up to the doorman and say your name and he says how many and shortly gets you in.
Question #2: Do you tip that door guy/host also? or do you justify no tip with the fact that you tipped the first host at Jet and that was the favor that he was doing for you by tipping him the previous night.
With the recession and all i know many are looking for their $$$ to take them as far as possible, but also want to do what is right. The past year I've fortunately gotten the chance to visit vegas a handful of times... and I found myself using the bottle service tip ($100) as my pass to get on the guestlist at another club for another night. But i didnt tip the guestlist 2nd club guy. And i was just wondering if the vets have been doing it this way recently or if they always hit somebody up with something.
Anyhow, look forward to any responses. And thank you for all the help and info...
Respectfully,
