Booking my flights and hotel this week for the Big AOD Piss up in May as I missed the last one due to Ill sister.

I am not going to pay the earth because I want to spend more cash on getting leathered ( Drunk)
Cheaper options from the travel agents over here are as follows.
Luxor
Gold Coast ( Close to Palms)
Rio
Hooters ( Really Cheap)
Some of the hotels on Fremont sound like a laugh.
Riveria
Bills

Please could you all mark them 1-10 as I have only ever stayed in Palms and fancy something a bit closer to the action

Luxor -i'd say this or Rio are the best on your list. Luxor gets a bad wrap, but it's actually pretty good inside IMO. You also have a decent nightclub in LAX (Not top tier, but I've always had a great time there).

Gold Coast ( Close to Palms) - eh...
Rio- this will get you a good sized room with a small fridge, also lets you check out voodoo bar and quick access to palms clubs.
Hooters ( Really Cheap)
Some of the hotels on Fremont sound like a laugh. - too far from the strip action
Riveria- i'd pass
Bills- pass

I'm sure some good deals will pop up by May though.

Considering what you have listed, Id probably check out Ballys. Good location and decent for the price.

For inexpensive lodging, Bill's isn't that bad - location is perfect.

we were upgraded over LDW on the $20 tip easily, and the North tower room we had was actually pretty nice.

If you really want to save some money, book your hotel + flight separately yourself. Find the flight on expedia, and then book one of the online specials you can find around. However, I think it's way too early to book anything anyways. You won't see the good specials for a few months. I'd be patient and book earliest in Jan or Feb for May.
