Zip line! Downtown! Do it!

Something cool to try! Fremont Street has a new zip line that takes you from the end of the Fremont Experience to about 800 ft down the middle. Cost is $20 and it is open from 6PM to 12AM during the week, and until 2AM on weekends.

I did it last night while wearing a cowardly lion halloween costume, only to end up getting stuck in the middle while dangling over Downtown tourists. Wasn't a good look, but still loads of fun. Check it out!

Do you think this will still be up in January?!? We had a zipline downtown for the Olympics but there was always a crazy 8 hour wait to go on it so I never got to try it out

i read in Seven i think that's its a temporary thing but they didn't say exactly how long it would be there - so i hope its up the next time i'm there, sounds like fun!

Since I'd first heard about the zip line on the "Pulse of Las Vegas"' Facebook page, I can't stop thinking how awesome this would be! A few minor setbacks:

1. I won't be in Vegas for some time.
2. I'm terrified of heights.

Is it really that high? From the videos, it looks like the landing platform isn't that high off the ground, but the jump-off one is.

I'm sure I could manage to suck it up if I'd ever get the chance to try it.

This is a great idea for a day event in the winter when all the pools are closed...we always need other day activities in Vegas during the winter other than hitting the blackjack tables!

By the way, anyone ever done a helicopter tour over Vegas and the Grand Canyon? See that stuff being advertised all over the web. Worth trying?

i've done the helicopter ride over the strip, it was pretty nice. it IS a very short ride, maybe 20 minutes total in the air, but worth it to see everything all laid out. obviously you want to go at night when all the lights are on, and i definitely suggest taking video if you can instead of still pictures - my pix came out like crap because A)we were moving and B)the lights were making it a little blurry. Also, definitely load up on the "free" champagne they provide while you wait
