    Hello Everyone:

I've been browsing the forums for the past few days, and I finally registered.

I'm turning 21 this June, and yes I am coming over to Vegas to celebrate, but I won't be coming down there until July 10th. So yes, I am a Vegas Virgin (although I did play Blackjack at TI last spring at the age of 19.)

I'll be coming down there with a group of guys (3-5 in all), and we've already got a room at The Mirage.

Now, I have a few questions for all you Vegas experts, and I'd highly appreciate your recommendations.

Since we're visiting on a friday, should we go to Jet (we're staying at The Mirage) or Tao? Also, there's going to be anywhere from 3 - 5 of us, just guys. So, should we pay the cover price? or get table service?

How much is table/bottle service at Jet or Tao? Or would you say we should visit another club like rain?

Keep in mind, we're all students, and we're not going to be bring a lot of money. In fact, apart from the hotel room, i'm only bringing about $400 for the whole two days, and i'm guessing the buddys will be bringing about the same amount of money, maybe even less.

$200 on gambling ($100 each day)
$50 on food for both days
    $100 club (including drinks)
    $50 misc. cost
    = $400

    Your suggestions are most appreciated.

IF your all students then I would highly recommend changing that budget around. If you want to really have a good time you should break it down like this:

    $100 on Gambling ($50 a day)
$75 on food both days, you'll want to eat once you wake up
    $25 misc. cost
    $200 club (including table/drinks)

Also for that amount of guys your gonna be your definately going to want to make an attempt at table service because it's way more worth it! I'm sure other people on here will chime in too.

    Welcome to the board!

Cisco, thank you for the reply. I'll try to see if we can get table service.

BTW, how is Christian Audigier at TI like? What kind of crowd would we find there?

Lasvegas.com says table service for 4 people at TI is only $100

I would personally go to tao, just because that club seems sick. I can't say Ive been to any club in vegas other then XS. I do believe that Tao is more of a hot spot though.(Feel free to correct me if im wrong) Bottle service price depends on the club, table minimum, and what you order. Your going to be pretty limited with your budget. But the best advice I can give you is to pre game before you hit the club. A lot of clubs charge $15.00 and up for a drink not including bottle service.

Ive been to both tao and jet recently... Your room key at the mirage will allow you to bring in two people per key for free at jet since you are staying at the mirage... both clubs were were hopping... tao was much bigger than jet... both had decent feel good music playing... i didnt see anyone handing out free passes for tao, however many of the clubs are handing out free passes outside or in the lobby area for the clubs that are inside... saw it revolution (lounge at mirage) also saw it for studio 54 and tabu (mgm lounge), when i was out last... if saving money is a concern, i would recommend using your key to go to jet... if you really want to see tao, you can see if you can find some passes or pay cover... i enjoyed tao but like some of the others said, when that place is packed, it seems like there isnt even a place to stand lol... anyhow good luck and i hope some of my info helped.

            Dogeaters,

Thanks a lot for the info. I wasn't aware I could get into Jet for free with my key. If that's the case, then i'll just go into jet, rather than go into Tao.

ok firstoff im with cisco change that budget around and secure more money for drinking/party purposes! Next I would have each guy bring an extra $20 to hit a liquor store once you get into town and load up on booze for the room. Also, if youre going to get a bottle dont go to the best priced place.....youre in VEGAS, go to a great spot either tryst; which will prob be a 1 bottle minimum so youre looking at a total cost of with everything including mixers of about $640 which breaks out to be $160/guy and it might be one of the best nights of your young lives. now tao, pure or xs would be other great spots but you might be looking at 2 bottle minimums....for the second night I would suggest just roaming around you can have a great time doing thuis especially for your first time in vegas and you can find cheap drinks. I would also recommend getting a table on saturday night and do the roaming on the friday night.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

My first couple of vegas trips i was on a tight budget. Spend the least amount on gambling, eat cheap, party hard..keep gatorade and pedialyte in the fridge..Also you may want to check the forum and see if any other members will be out there when you are. that way they may be willing to team up with you and get a table. Just a thought..
