Looking to do something different while in Vegas...does anyone have any suggestions for a good place that does say ATV's in the desert or something along those lines?

only thing similar i can suggest is to rent an actual jeep wrangler and take it up to red rock. from the welcome center you can take it through a mountain pass, all unguided.
it's an entire afternoon, but it's pretty sick if you don't normally do a lot of that thing.
we took off from the welcome center, through Rocky Gap and ended up coming out Old Potato Rd.Protect yourself at all times

long story short, we had rented a 'full size' from the airport...got there late, all they had were mid size (too small) or a ford excursion, which was their biggest suv at the time.
the excursion was too big for a few portions of the path, but anything catagorized as full size suv from any rental agency would work great.
we brought the excursion back to the rental agency very dusty from some desert roads, so they didn't notice we'd scratched the shit out of the clear coat up on rocky gap ;-/Protect yourself at all times
