SoCal to Vegas MDW?

Is anyone else planning to drive from socal to vegas for MDW? Anyone know what traffic will be like on friday heading out? I will be driving, if anyone wants to follow or caravan. Let me know!

Was thinking before noon for sure, maybe even early am if we have to...

i do that drive often and I would def leave as early as possible. i dont know how youre gonna go but if you have to go through cajon pass it could be a long trip if you leave after 12pm on a holiday weekend, and theres nothing worse then sitting dead stop in the middle of the desert on a 2 lane highway and being axious!!!

yeah I usually take off at about 10ish to try and beat some of the traffic. im assuming since it's gonna be mdw your probly going to hit traffic no matter what. I'm in San Diego by the way

I will agree. The sooner you get out of town the better. Not only will the 91 Fwy suck, if you are coming from the OC, but the trip from Ontario to the Cajon pass can get packed too.

Also, don't forget coming home is just as brutal if not more so.
Took my friends 15 hours...that's right 15 hours to make it back to Orange County once.

Yeah, i agree, and last thing i want is to be stuck in traffic, especially if i drive an exotic car- traffic is death for the clutch.

We are going to try to head out around 9ish. I would leave earlier if I was driving alone but I know the others wouldn't be too cool with it!!
