Don't think they look at soles. Dress shoes are acceptable, but I personally prefer sneakers or chucks.

I would check with some of our resident style experts first.

Tao is the strictest. Only shoes there.

Everywhere else they seem a little more lenient. Members have reported wearing chucks with no problem. But YMMV.

I always keep it safe and wear shoes.

I'd say play it safe this trip and wear shoes, and once you get a feel for everything, you'll have a better idea of what to expect next time you go. That's assuming you're like us and go often.

I have been keeping a pair in the trunk of the car now... still rocking what i want in the beginning..

actually the shoes I was rocking was a little more dressier then those sneaks pacman. it all depends how well the whole outfit is put together as well.

i got a couple pairs of boots and dress shoes in my closet. might as well play it safe and just wear dress shoes.. i was just hoping i could get away with something casual like the ones in the pic.

My camera isnt working right, right now, but they're new boots and look really good in my opinion. I may just wear the black leather shoes for a sure bet for the Mega Clubs, and Docs for the places like VooDoo Lounge, etc.

I think if your stylish you shouldn't have a problem. I have worn colored sneakers to all the majors (including Tao) granted they definitely looked good. Alexander McQueen, Ferragamo etc. are not going to give you problems. Grantd they were not gaudy and weren't branding labels but, didn't look cheap or like trainers.
