good riddance... body english was getting really unbearable near the end of their run... or at least their clientele.
looking forward to a new afterhours place.
Hi Chris I don't think your really going need a host at Moorea Beach just call this # and make your reservations, they'll transfer you directly to Moorea Beach. 702-632-7997 their site has a great map for bed/cabana locations. http://www.mandalaybay.com/thingstodo/beach.aspx
I think you'd be happy w/ an Opuim bed in Moorea Beach.

thanks for the great link~
btw, why the opium bed as opposed to the other ones? It seems a little out of the way, and by that not in all the action?
Also, for the daybeds, is it food/bev minimum? or just a rental fee?
Sorry I was confused when I called it the Opium bed, you are right sir, they are back away from the pool/action. Maybe they just called it a day bed (it had misters which is a big plus). We only paid entrance for H and rental for the bed, got free water, soda and fruit plate included with fee.
That was 2003. When I called earlier this season for prices nothing was mentioned about a F&B min.
Did you decide to stay at M.B., then? You have to be a hotel guest to get into the beach area, not sure if it's the same for Moorea beach as they have a seperate entrance then the beach area. Feel free to PM if you have more questions.
If you are staying at MB, you can get a pretty good deal on any of the daybeds or cabanas. They didn't give us a minimum, but we were there for 3 days midweek so it may be different on the weekend. It was actually cheaper for us to get the daybed instead od just paying to get in.

so what you're saying is that I have to pay to rent the cabana/day bed instead of having a food/bev minimum? (I will also be staying midweek)
How much was the daybed for you?

If I remember right, I think it was $250 for a daybed next to the pool (request one with the umbrella if you want). MB gave us each a $100 cabana credit so it was $150 for 6 of us (2 women) to get in, have a daybed next to the pool and unlimited bottled water (water was $6 each if you paid for it). Our tab was anywhere from $300 to $500 every day.

hm... doesn't sound like a very good deal, considering other places have food/beverage minimums that you can just use to get drinks. Because either way we're gonna end up getting drinks. And not water
