  • Best Poker action?

Ok, so I want to play poker this weekend while I'm there. Last time I was in Vegas, a few years back, I played mostly at the Flamingo but I remember it being a smaller room.

People are recommending MGM for good action. Anywhere else? I may hit a few sit-n-go's in Downtown also.

    I play mostly $100NL.

Ceasars and MGM are both good for $100NL. For higher limits I'd recommend belagio or venitian.

When I was there last year I played in a $4/8 game at the Bellagio and got some really good action. Bought in for $150 and cashed out almost $600 in about 2 hours. Really juicy table

You won't find many tourneys with that many people. Even the daily tourneys usually have a turnout of about 20-40 ppl from what I've read.

I HATE Limit though. Can't stand it. Anyone played at the Palms?

Since we are going to Rain Friday night we are going to get there early after dinner and play a bit for drinks before we go into the clubs.

I don't want to take my friends money! I want to take money from the drunken tourists!

I don't know if it was just me but when I played at the Flamingo, you can get a feel of who plays there regularly and who's a tourist. You can also tell who doesn't know how to play. Get on the right peoples side and they usually won't make big plays against you unless it's one big hand vs another.

I played $3/$6 limit at Flamingo and the table was loose/aggressive, just how I like it. I would check/call draws and 4 bet the pot getting reraised with the nuts everytime.

Made a quick couple hundred in about 2-3 hours, didn't want to leave but I was the only one with my group not at the pool so I blew it at poolside blackjack an hour later.

Yeah limit does suck cause you have everyone chasing like crazy but it's fairly easy to play. I do both limit and no limit but it really depends on how I feel and what I'm buying in for. When I was at the Bellagion I would have had to buy in for $300 plus and everyone at the table was sitting on at least about $1k. Plus the day I was there they had a WPT tourney and there was crazy action and people playing some huge games. I saw a few people getting 2 racks of $100 chips to play.

Oh yeah I heard they have really really good action at the Rio because its the home of the WSOP and all kinds of tourist and amateurs always want to play at the place they see on tv. Never played there myself though.

                            Venetian Wynn and maybe Rio

The Venetian and Wynn are great. I am not sure if the WSOP room is open yet at the Rio but when it opens up the games are great there. I am headed out for a poker marathon for 20 days at the end of May. Can not wait.
