I'm Back!!!
I am finally home and ready to put up my review of my weekend in Veags. Where to start...
Well our flight got into the airport at 12:20 and we checked out a couple things at the airport, since it was my girl's first time there, we went over to the Budweiser bar and did an honarary first shot in Vegas which was a Kamikazi! After that we went to get our bags and grab a taxi to head to Encore. I had texted Chappstick when we landed and he called me when I was on the taxi, we talked for a bit but decided to talk later to figure something out, he made a recommendation of Strip Burger for awesome burger's. We got to Encore around 1:30ish and since we were there very early we sat at the bar on the left when you walk in and had our first actual casino drinks. She insisted we do a couple of Scooby Snacks, which is one of her favorite drinks, I downed mine as she sipped on hers so I ordered a Redbull Vodka. We then had another Scooby and I ended up having another Red/Vod so since I hadn't eaten at all that day my buzz kicked in fairly quick and a bit strong
we then went over to check into the hotel around 2:30. The check in process was fairly smooth, the lady gave us a room on the 56th floor with an amazing panoramic view! We went up to the room and I have to say if you've never stayed at the Encore I highly recommend it!!! The room is pretty big yet seems to have a very intimate setting. We unpacked and settled in and then our stomachs told us it was time to eat! We headed to Strip burger which is accross the street, awesome recommendation from Chappstick!!! We got there and were seated and had drinks in our hand fairly quickly. We both had an Acapulco burger which was delicious!!! After that we decided to check out the mall and walk around a bit in there. We were there for about and hour and a half and then decided to go back to the room to chill for a bit. We started that night out at Blush for a little bit, then after getting a call from Mr. Las Vegas (host) we decided Palms was the place to go. He had his contact call me up to meet up with me outside of the club so that he would walk us over to Rain where we were set up to share a table with another forum member. It took us a total of about 10 minutes from meeting up with his host to getting into the club and getting a drink in our hands. Rain was awesome and the table we were at was great! We were upstairs by one of the bars. I had talked to Chappstick earlier and he had mentioned he was going to be at Rain so after texting back and forth a few times he made it up and we met the infamous Chappstick! I had told him about how we got hooked up and that Mr. Las Vegas (host) pulled thru for us and he was very happy that we, forum members, were taken care of! We were there until about three which we had then decided to check out Playboy and Moon. We were given a card that got us into Playboy and it was pretty chill, didnt looked at packed as Rain but it was past 3 in the morning. We then went up to Moon to check out the view and it was awesome! After that we went decided to go back to our room for some more drinks and crashed sometime around 6... I think.
We got up the next day sometime around noon and had some breakfast in bed. We went out and decided to just lounge at the pool there and had a couple Bloody Mary's. We were supposed to meet up with a couple we met the night before for drinks by our pool but they didnt make it there and we ended up meeting up with them at one of the bars at the Wynn. We had a few drinks and the guy's sister met up and had a drink with us and then hooked us up with the Nevada resident deal for the show La Reve later that night. We then went back to the room to change for dinner. We had reservations for Eiffel Tower which had a pretty awesome view of the Fountains at the Bellagio. Dinner there was awesome! The steak we had was pretty much perfect! They were extremely nice and all around incredible customer service. We then made our way back to Wynn to check out the show we had gotten tickets for. We were a bit late but were seated really quickly. That show was quite honestly amazing! I would definately reccomend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. After the show we were going to head back to the room to change but as we walked past XS there was a rather small line and I went ahead and asked about cover and if we would be able to get in the way we were dressed. We were given those comp passes and got in without a problem. I had also been texting back and forth with Mr. Vegas about either going to the Bank or Christian Audigier but we ended up just staying at XS because that's where my girl wanted to stay and party that night at. XS is amazing!!! It wasn't very packed when we got there but it was just right for us that night. We were there until they kicked us out, or as we call it in Cali Last Call!!! We then went over to one of the bars inside of Encore and had a couple more drinks. We ended up crashing around 5ish that night.
The next day we got up earlier since we had to check out by noon and they didnt have late check out unless we paid like 150. We were supposed to get up early and loung at the pool but ended up just packing up our stuff and leaving the room. We checked out and decided to give the Buffet at the Wynn a try. I was told by a girl at one of the shops that supposedly it was better than the buffet at the Rio but I must say.... it was not. The food was good and service was excellent but the variety at Rio is a lot more. They didnt even have crab legs at the Wynn!!! All in all it was good but not great. We decided to spend that afternoon walking around the Palazzo since our flight left at 9:42 that night. We also went over to Mist at TI where we got a couple free drinks. Mist was pretty chill, small and quite and fresh... except for the dude smoking next to me. We wanted to check out the pirate show so we went over to Lavo and sit there for appetizers and a drink while we watched the show. The show was ok, I was told it was way better at night since we checked out the 7:00 show. Lavo was a great place to finish our trip, the appetizers we got were delicious! Service was great! We had one of their specialty drinks and it was awesome as well! Everyone there was very very friendly and the place was awesome too! After that it was time to get back to Encore and get our bags, grab a taxi, and head to the airport.
All in all this was truly one of the best trips out there for me, it was amazing for my girl since it was her first time. She had an awesome time and I think I set the bar very high for her next trip. I also want to give a thanks to Chappstick for his help and a very big thanks to Mr Las Vegas (host) for his help with options and getting us into Rain with minimal problems! I wish we could have used his services more but I am more than grateful for the help he was able to give. I hope this was a good review and that I didn't write too much but I guess it was that good of a trip!
