Id like to see Rain remodeled and opened under a different name. The palms could definitely turn things around.

Depends on your definition of the argument...

Those that are still poised for future growth of new venues in the current nightlife climate are definitely AMG, Light Group, and Tao Group.

This latest acquisition makes AMG slightly larger in total venues than Light Group (who has 17), but you also have to factor in how many of those are management contracts Vs managing ownership. Light Group owns the bulk of their venues in partnership with the properties each reside in, while AMG's portfolio is largely management.

Breaking it down even further over which venues in Las Vegas are the most profitable on a case-by-case basis, Tao Group and Wynn's books are definitely in amazing shape compared to some other venues in town.

Taking all of that into consideration, it will be interesting to see if AMG decides that some of their newly acquired venues aren't worth the trouble and gets rid of a few before they open anything new. Ive heard rumblings that this may already be the case at Mandalay Bay.

We shall see!

Studio.. Rain.. PURE.. maybe even a fresh look for TAO... all 2006 or later... 3 years the avg for a good club in vegas... hmm.. BUT TAO... still a monster.. the other 3... well.. a new "face lift" could be in order!

Tao can use a face lift, or maybe some of the crowd go to Marquee. That dance floor area is just too much of a cluster F. Thank goodness for Tao Beach area when its opened up.
