Clubs (for a mixed crowd!) and Ghostbar?

Hi!
As some of you know I'll be in Vegas for the 1st time (whoo!) Oct. 9th - Oct. 12th. We will be a mixed crowd, about 10 girls and maybe 7 guys...

Probably only 2 guys and maybe 5-6 girls will be clubbing at night. I want to get on guestlists, but will the 2 guys be a "problem"? We don't plan on doing the bottle service thingie.

Do you have to pay a cover if you're on a guestlist (girls)?

Mostly, we want to hit a major club on either saturday/sunday or monday and maybe more "low-profile" places on the other nights. I LOVE dancing, so dancing is a must... I've checked out the "where to club" thread, but there isn't much info on what they play and etc. I'm mostly into r&b, top 40... No techno or I might die! We're all around 23-30.

Soooo... we want to visit the Ghostbar, I've already emailed someone to be on the guestlist. Not sure if we'll go there on saturday or sunday (or maybe monday). What do you suggest?

Actually the days you are going are low key anwyay. Assuming you do Ghostbar on a Saturday night, you are already avoiding majority of the crowds at the Wynn clubs. Then on Sunday/Monday they are industry nights. I would do XS on either one of those nights, and it will be low key and still fun. If you do want to go out both Sun/Monday, I would do Vanity on Sun and XS Mon. I m not sure if Vanity on Sun is low key though since there are left over travelers + industry locals that frequent there.

With 2 guys and 6 girls you'll be perfectly fine getting in, just make sure the guys dress appropriately. Try The Bank Sunday they play great music I don't remember hearing any techno.

I wouldn't go to Ghostbar on Saturday...maybe Sunday I suppose. Its a lot more low key and you guys definitely need to hit a crackin ass club for your first Saturday night on your first Vegas trip!

Will try to get a guestlist for XS... BTW, about the guestlists, do we have to get to the club before midnight in order for it to be honored? That's how it is in most clubs in Montreal, so I was wondering...

Yes thats correct. Guestlist usually close out at midnight at most places.

On a side note of Ghostbar, it is really what it is. Just a view of the city with a bar. Don't expect to be able to dance there :-)

Awe, that's what (some) of my friends want... BUT I'm looking to PARTY! So maybe we'll go early and leave some people behind... while we go somewhere else... Rain is next to Ghostbar, right? Guess we could switch to Rain after seeing 'the view'

My friend (who's getting married) absolutely want to hit Ghost on saturday, but I would like to transition to somewhere hotter after a while, what's the closest club to Ghost where I could go with my party girls right after Ghost?

That is correct! Rain/Playboy club are both places where you can dance and have a good time. They are right next to each other. I don't go out there enough to how good it is on a Sunday, but it should still be better then just a 'view'.. my opinion

This works out better because Rain is one of the hot spots on Saturday nights (Perfecto House night).

Royale is right about Ghostbar not being the place to go if you're actually looking to dance and get loose, but don't let him dupe you. Given what you said about your musical preferences, Rain is exactly where you DON'T want to be on saturday night.

lol yea. I say let her have her way, take her to ghostbar early around 9:30pm, she wont want to stay longer than 20 minutes and you'll be off to Tryst/XS

Yeah and if you get stuck at the Palms for any reason just shoot over to Moon, not the greatest club ever but it fits your criteria more so than Rain.
