I'm traveling solo for the first time on Sep 16 and am staying at the Venetian. Is trying to get into Tao a complete waste of time for the single male traveler and, if not, would it really be any fun alone?

Find some girls at the pool/casino/hotel/near Tao and get them to go in with you.

Whether its fun or not totally depends on your personality. If you have been to clubs alone before and had fun, then it should be good. If you are shy and not into talking to random people, it may not be too good of a time.

You should have no problem getting in solo - just make sure to get there early [10, latest]. Might be better to get to the hotel of the club and pregame at the hotel's bar area 9-10PM, maybe mingle a bit? Vegas partiers are, for the most part, willing to socialize if you're willing to socialize too.

If you show up a little late and you see the line's long, then just grease your way past the line. You'll still be in good shape.

Any club in Vegas in fine if you go solo, as long as youre comfortable with it like the posters before said. Just be aware of what kind of groups of girls you'll be "working with" because you rarely see women on their own at a club, unless theyre working. ;-)
