HELP! Where to take my wife?

I've been to vegas a few times the last couple of years the latest just this past Aug and i knew where to go with me and the boys.......but it's a little different now....My wife has never been to Vegas so this will be her first time ever and we are planning to go 2/17/2011 (Thursday) - 2/21/2011 (Monday). We are sort of on a budget but not crazy cheap budget. I want her to get the full experience so I want to plan now so i can figure a good plan of attack. I usually do bottle service with the guys but since i won't have no one to split it with i'm thinking maybe the drinking bands at Ghost Bar one night.......but what would be some other nice venues to take her to? She is 29 and i'm 32, I'm thinking a night at vanity.....or maybe Body english if it's opened up again by then.....I'm also planning a show night maybe hitting up KA then a nice dinner at Nine Steak house. do you guys have any other recomendations for a nice restraunt we have to hit up? Maybe nice ultra lounge's? and what days to do what....we don't have to go to a club/ultra lounge every night....Also when does pool season open? i wanted to try and hold off and go when the pools where open so she can enjoy that aspect but she wants to go for her Birthday which is why we are going in FEB.......sorry for the novel guys.....

you've got some time.
-search the archives here, and at tripadvisor or other similar sites
-return with more direct questions as needed
-book a good deal on a room center strip ASAP, then watch for other better deals as there may be great deals closer

pool scene will be limited, so maybe pick a resort with great hot-tubs near the building or one with TRUE heated pools.

As far as clubs to go to, I'd think if your wife is a club type of person than any of them would be fine, it will just be a different experience than when you go with your boys. my SO and I have been to Tryst, Tao, Jet, Lavo, etc and all of them were fine for a couple. i'd definitely hit vanity. we didn't do bottles because, like your wife, i don't drink much, but there are a couple of places that have 1 bottle minimums so maybe that is an option - search the forums to find out where. and although wasted space in the hard rock is apparently closing, if they're still around by the time you get there they have $40 all you can drink (wednesdays?)

a show night is a very good idea, and Ka is awesome. but since Ka is in MGM and N9ne is way over in the Palms, maybe you could just eat at MGM. Depending on your budget there's a bunch of good restaurants in there. I like L'Atelier, Seablue, and Shibuya. Craftsteak is hyped up but I didn't love it. And their "regular" non-fine dining restaurants are good too.

and then i see you're also there for valentine's day, and for her birthday you said. find yourself a romantical place to spend them - a good idea is the Eiffel Tower restaurant at paris, there's views of the bellagio fountains. or one of Bellagio's restaurants on the lake. I like Picasso

as far as pool season, it usually doesn't start till the weather is MUCH warmer than it will be in february, like around April-ish. but there's a link on the forums somewhere to a list of all the pools that are open year-round....

people seem to have mixed feelings on the food at LAVO but i have never had a problem with it and have eaten there about 3 times now. you can get a linepass stamp too if you eat there for skipping the line and free admission when you come back to the nightclub later that night. the restaurant is a bit loud and dark the later it gets at night, but it has gorgeous decor. i have always been happy with it and my girlfriend loves it there. you can do the same dinner and linepass thing at TAO, but TAO has been kind of a turnoff for me lately because it's been getting so crowded; a little overwhelming. used to be one of my favorite clubs but now i have been hitting up other ones. as mentioned above, Tryst would be a good choice and Vanity is really nice as well. XS if you don't mind the line and cover is always fun. Blush is a fun, cool lounge in my opinion, but haven't really been to too many other lounges in Vegas. i would highly recommend Surrender but I don't know what it will be like in February since the majority of it is outside where Encore Beach Club is during the day. I've been in January and Vegas was pretty cold so February may be the same and you may not want to be outside.

oh and the Bank at Bellagio was really fun for my girlfriend and I as well, and that's completely indoors and will be warm no matter the weather outside!
