From what I have read that the place is usually empty on most nights. They have drink specials on occasions. Its not hard to get in. I have to see it for myself to give you a better report, but honestly most members don't go there.
seriously?!? Is there something wrong with the place. Maybe its an older crowd (which would work for me)?
It felt like Caramel to me the time I was there, but the VIP Host said they were trying to figure out what they wanted to do with the place....this was back in January.

It's dead because the people that run the joint are assholes. We decided we'd rather spend our money elsewhere.
Edit: The people that work the door are assholes. Don't know if that reflects on the people who run it. If you want people to come into your dead club, don't be rude from the get go...
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

so it's dead because of one bad experience with the doormen?
with all due respect, I've had a great time at xs, tryst, pure, moon, etc. and while they never dissed us, I thought their door staff were probably a little short with some of the other patrons.
it is what it is; doormen probably have a little more leeway than they should in general, given that they are, uh, working the door at a nightclub.
i guess i'm not understanding how 1 or 2 posters on here having trouble getting past a doorman explains the place being dead.

once you understand The Way broadly, you can see it in all things
Lol. Guess I worded it wrong. I should have said Maybe if the doormen weren't so rude, people would be more inclined to actually go inside.
Obviously one or two people's experience doesn't explain why it's dead. I have no clue why it's like that. It was just an idea as to a possible cause. I was just really surprised considering it was dead on a Friday night and people were walking away.

Gold is slammed on wed and thursday. Wed because The Light Group (Haze, bank, jet, liquid, bare and about 12 other venues) makes all their VIP hosts book a paid table reservation and all the cocktailers submit guest list. Thursday its the pre game spot for Haze, being slammed from 10 to 12 or so.
On the weekend it is after hours (or was, not sure if they are still doing it), which would explain why it was dead (if it was normal club hours).
The venue is small, the seats are inviting and they dont have a cashier at the door, this should be a staple to the members who stay at City Center.

interesting.....might have to check it out for pregame
Thanks Darryll, thats what I wanted to hear. Im stay at Aria, so its sounds like it could be the "last ditch effort, home court advantage" spot at the end of the night.
Sorry Moezilla that you had door issues there. Ive never had a problem with any doorman in Vegas being rude....ever. Ive always thought Vegas clubs were best because of how professionally most are run. Ive been told things I havent wanted to hear from a doorman, but never in a rude way. Im sure it can happen to anyone though. You want rude doormen, come to LA.

I tried it out briefly when I stayed at Aria and liked it. Nothing out of control by any means, but I could see it getting busy the way Daryll describes. Might have to remember that actually.
