Hi all, long time reader first time poster!
My three buddies and I take a yearly trip for Spring Break and this year we decided on Vegas. We booked 5 nights in March and arrived on St Patrick's Day. From the moment I set foot in McCarren and saw the rows of slots and people leaving with guilty expressions I knew I was in love.
Anyway thats all besides the point we hit Lavo,TAO, Blush,The Bank, and... The Palms
All without spending a dime on cover or bottle service and had a blast! Not so much because we're cheap but if you don't have to why would you?
We pulled this off by having a plan of attack, We knew we needed a bunch of girls so the afternoons were spent looking for cute girls in large groups around our age walking the strip or the malls. Since it was Spring Break this wasn't much of a task just dress differently from all the other guys on the strip aka well and don't give off a date-rape vibe. We also made nice with the cabbies and the girls at the desk and were able to get passes for whatever club we were planning on visiting. We would then change and meet the girls and head off to the club. We used a guy Darko Karovski to get us on the guest list at LAVO and TAO he got us in smoothly without any wait and he was a cool guy. You can also meet girls and link up in line but I'm not sure this is as much of a sure thing because hosts will be plucking all the cute groups of girls from the line faster than you can convince them you aren't lame. Local girls are the best if you can find them because they have cars! No taxi fees! and they actually know people around town. Thats how we got into Blush for free, so chat it up with your waitress or front desk attendant they like to party too! Now The Bank was sheer luck since that line is not a line and we had no female companions that night. It's Vegas though so Luck had to come into play at some point since it wasn't at the Roulette table. Went to The Palms on our last night as a whim because we were staying there and it was free so why the hell not? It was by far the worst crowd we encountered but somehow we found a few cuties at Ghostbar who were staying at The Palms too and that made up for it
.
Anyway if you have a small outgoing group of friends fellas its very possible to do Vegas nightlife without spending thousands on bottles or hundreds in cover.
