  • Anybody doing Wet Republic Sun. Aug 22 (SvD)?

    EDIT: 22nd

So I decided to stay on Sunday and I know a group of girls who are staying too so I was going to chill with them, but....

Sander Van Doorn (right at the top in my personal DJ/artist hall of fame) is playing at Wet Republic that day. Although I've seen him tons of times, it's like turning down two perfect things. Of course, I'm doing this trip with my cousin and associated friends, not my close ones, and they, how do I put this...do not like what they would consider Sander (well they probably would, but I'd never get them there in the first place).

Just wondering if that's shaping up to be an event that's getting peoples' attention. There must be some people around here who like EDM and know what I'm talking about.

Also, let's say I do somehow convince people to do this and I don't want all the cabana stuff, are chairs ($150) utter crap or would I have to get a dance floor table (god knows how much that is)?

Cant say Im 100% sure what exactly you're asking but this weekend isn't going to be slammed. I have a daybed at tao Beach and got it with a decent minimum and relative ease. Get there early you should be fine

Chairs are great! Low minimums (compared to daybeds and cabanas) and you're right in the middle of the action with a little bit of "real estate".

I've gotten a chair at Wet Republic for Ferry Corsten & Sander Kleinenberg and it wasn't crowded. It's not a busy weekend and people only come out for the "big" names. Maybe Deadmau5 or Armin van Buuren would get a big turnout but I'm not so sure about Sander van Doorn.

The chair is worth it unless you are okay w/ sitting on the floor/edge of the pool.

As much as I love Wet, I love Chuckie more. He is going to be at Tao Beach that day

            Seems my choices are:
            1) actually go alone to Sander @ Wet
            2) meetup with JC peeps at Tao

now leaning towards the second even though Sander>>>Chuckie (personal taste Royale, I'm sure Chuckie would still get the job done)
Plus it would be great to meet up. Hopefully a few of us run into each other before that though (Flip, Nighthawk). Gonna be posting in the Friday meetup thread once I figure out what I'm getting up to but if someone makes a plan, even better.

When you guys are drunk at Tao Beach, and Chuckie does this mix:
