  • MGM Pool Cabanas

Have some cheap friends who are reluctant to fork over the cash for WET (I know...real weak..but you gotta play the hand your dealt).

Any advice on trying to score a cabana at the MGM pool? I have read various different things (i.e. cannot make reservation until 7 days before). Any help would be appreciated.

I looked into this for a Bachelorette party back in April. We didn't end up booking, so the details are a little fuzzy. From what I remember it was something like $250/$300 for a weekend day for real estate only. All F/B is extra, which will def add up. Other than that, I don't know anything about when you can book. Just call their info line 702-891-3086.

Keep in mind the MGM pool is uber crowded and there are a ton of kids running around b/c of the lazy river. The crowd is mainly families, older people, teenagers. Super low quality people watching....

What about just getting a daybed @ Wet? Those are cheaper than cabanas and your cover + food/bev will be included in the cost. When you divide this up between a couple of people, it can become pretty affordable.

When are you going? Prices will probably drop after Labor Day.
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

I highly recommend getting a daybed at Wet. A few friends and I did it and we had an incredible time! The bed was a minimum of $500, and with the four of us, it was worth every penny.....even after we walked out of there spending $880. Still, worth every penny!

          Thanks

          Thanks for the advice!

Now I have to convince some of the penny pinchers its worth the cash. Always becomes a problem when traveling with a group of people who don't care about spending loot vs those who want to go on the cheap.

Maybe I will ditch them and find the folks there for the End of Summer Invasion...I am sure no drama there...thanks again!

Honestly its never worth getting a cabana where you have to pay a fee. F&B rates are the way to go. Also tell your friends the money they are wasting towards cover, they can spend it towards something tangible like booze!

Food and beverage rates. It's what you are charged to sit at a daybed, cabana, etc.. at a pool party.

Instead of paying a fee to sit down, you just have to spend "X" amount of dollars on food and beverages.

so how long after labor day do the pool parties stay open...headed west the last weekend in September and am wondering if I'll be too late, or things will be dialed way down by then
