There are some strip hotels that also offer that convenience by having the cabs go in and out through the side streets. PH comes to mind, always had an easy time cabbing to places because it's a corner hotel and takes you right out to that street Hard Rock is on with easy access to all the other backstreets.Originally posted by royale View PostI always tend to stay off strip since I drive and want to avoid the heavy jams getting in and out of the hotels. My favorite spots are HRH, MGM Sigs and Hilton in that order. No to mention cab fees generally are cheaper with the backstreets of the strip.

It's very deciving when you look at a map vs when you're actually there. You'll be much happier taking a cab.Originally posted by Hyena View PostOH ok, on the map it just look walkableOriginally posted by Moezilla View PostUh, walking from the HRH to the strip?!!!?!Originally posted by Hyena View PostJust a short question: I know that alcohol is allowed on the strip, hows the situation when I want walk from Hard rock to the strip, is it allowed to drink some beers on the way?
NOT a good idea. It's waaaay farther than you think. Cab rides to the strip are actually cheaper/faster from the HRH because they take the back streets, you never have to sit in strip traffic.
. First trip to vegas... But thanks for the input, will take a cab. That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Las Vegas was good. Hell of a ship, hell of a crew.

[quote=AK2Vegas;92410][quote=Hyena;92313]the scale of the hotels really throws off the distance. since you can see the hotels they appear just down the road, but after walking for 15 minutes, they get no closer.Originally posted by Moezilla View Post

when things are crowded and can't walk at a good pace, wait to cross some streets it takes even longer.
Back to the original question, I'd avoid the suites and move to the strip or the Palms. PH is a good option, flamingo is another decent option for location. Although I would agree that if you are going to be there for 10 days, to split things up. Maybe weekend in one spot, move midweek to location 2 to get a change of pace.
