Got Rum?

All this talk of vodka is making me thirsty but I have to admit my liquor of choice to enjoy would have to be Rum.
Inexpensive yet some are very good quality. Mellow and flavorful.
Anyone else here like Rum? Favorite Brands?

My only real experience with rum is mixed with coke, or in cocktails. I tend to use Havana Club 3y/o to make Mojitos, but haven't really looked into it any more than that.

ooh are you talking about the Havana Club that's from Cuba or the one that Bacardi makes? Always wanted to try the Cuban one... stupid embargo...

Sailor Jerry is good indeed
but my favorite Rum has to be Pyrat XO. It's probably the smoothest Rum I have ever tasted.

one of my buddys had some aged dominican rum that was fuckin delicious and im not a rum drinker but that stuff was very smooth and flavorful ill try to get the name of it
also he makes his own spiced rum thats the shit too calls it "Mamma Wamma" good shit

Captain and coke used to be my go-to cocktail. Although I love Captain Morgan I have ventured out to other brands of Spiced Rum and I have to say it's a big world out there.
But the captain will always have be a no-frills fav of mine.

oh yea it is.. Tao Beach girl recommended it to me and I have been going back to it for the change up. It tastes like cream soda but gets you F'd up!

When I went to the dominican republic, I brought back 6 different bottles of rum, so I'm still drinkin those down. Duty free and cheap as hell. All of them are great. So if you travel to any places that are known for their rum, be sure to bring a case back
