Choosing a hotel - Traveling alone on business

First trip to vegas will be Aug 21-28. I'm traveling on business so I need to keep my hotel expenses semi-reasonable. lol.

Right now, I'm looking at the Palms, Hard Rock, Luxor Tower Room, MGM or Planet Hollywood.

I may be on business, but I don't need it to be quiet, and I'd prefer a party hotel with younger people. Im 23.

Any tips on what hotels to consider or not consider?

Down to MGM, Hard Rock, Palms & Planet Holleywood. Any benefits to one over the other? I've read alot of bad reviews about Hard Rock lately. Thoughts?

Hard rock is still a good hotel, they just manage a little shitty. Altho you really don't see too much on your end, its more behind the scenes.

Out of those choices, I'd go with Hard Rock or Planet Hollywood.

I have only stayed at the MGM and its VERY "lively" but for a party tower i would say the Palms

Out of them all I prefer the Palms. Hard Rock Aint bad either.

Didnt really like Planet Hollywood as a hotel but you do gotta say it is down in the middle of it all easy to get from there to anywhere.

I had a good stay at PH this summer, and the price was reasonable. I spent one night at HR and I like it there, it's just out of the way of everything else. 'Course if you're there on business you'll be out and about anyway.

I would say PH or MGM. Since it's your first trip you will be right on the strip... in the middle of the action. Stay on the strip. Stay off the strip at Palms or Hard Rock next time.

There's defiantly something to be said about staying on the strip. I recommend. I've stayed at the MGM and it's a great place, IMO.

Don't hate on Luxor just because they have diagonal escalators! :P

(Seriously though, that hotel is the pits. Never stay there unless you're trying to spend absolutely minimal $$$)

I've found one of the best ways to figure out where to go is YouTube. Seems like people will post videos of their rooms. Much truer than the shit you'll see from marketing people. I saw a couple of Luxor videos and knew to drop it pretty quickly.
