4 Aussies heading to Vegas, need Info.

Hey All

Just joined JC as i have read some awesome reviews on clubs and so on.

I am heading to Vegas with 4 mates mid October for 6 days and are keen to hit up the clubs every night if we can handle it. This is also our first visit to Vegas and we will be staying at enocre Wynn hotel. Going to be awesome

we have planned to hit up:
XS-Friday (not sure if we should do bottle service)
Pure- Sat with table/bottle service
Vanity-Sunday
Jet-Monday
Pure-Tuesday

Just want to make sure these clubs a good to hit up on those nites? if anyone has any info or recommendations let me know.

hey arch how you goin mate.....

i was there last in 08 and i went pure,tao,tryst,lax....and what i noticed is that they are all great clubs.
I did find that tryst had a more upscale crowd (like an ivy type if your from syd)as opposed to pure(more like sapphire on roids) both good experiences though....

Skip out on pure its trashy and not cool... it was a few years ago but not anymore go to surrender sat night and either blush or moon on Tuesday

actually I got a great review I found recently that you guys have to read about Pure:

$1500 for a lessoned learned is something I really was NOT going for NOR something I'd expect from a nightclub like PURE. I hate dropping numbers but PURE is really not worth it.

- VIP entrance was great. Slipped in without having to wait in the
massive line. Our group got escorted through the first floor and into the
elevator to the second where we were led into our cabana.
- Bottle service was "alright"
- The place is huge which is always a plus

and it's all downhill from here.

- Music sucked. Although they did not play the typical pop club music,
I expected a lot more from a Vegas, aaheeamm!! PURE nightclub DJ.
- The crowd was horrible from my observation (maybe we went on the
wrong night): you have the "Just turned 21 crowd", older gentlemen
coming on to the younger girls, women trapped in the 80's with
bridesmaid type of clothing and even MORE women and men
with the British flag draped over their shoulders, did I miss
miss something? Was there some sports event that happened on
the 17th of July that you're compelled to physically express your
pride in a nightclub in Vegas?

Summation: AVOID PURE.

I'd settle for "Blush Boutique" at the Wynn any day. Even though it's small. It's classy, fun, hip and what Vegas nighclub should be. Big or small.

I have to disagree guys

I went to pure twice on my last trip (june/july 2010) and had a awesome time, i think the downstairs area on the right hand side of the stage is the best area to be.

Music on the main area was good (though saying that not as good as LAX). Bottle deals we got were buy 2 get 1 free (wed). Saturday got buy 3 get 1 free and then but 1 get 1 free after we ran out lol

Got looked after really well, security kept bringing in girls all night, had a blast....

Btw this was on a holiday weekend so i dont know if it differs outside of the holiday weekends......

K do you see you you keept getting deals like buy 3 get one free, that means they are trying to keep you there and keep your business becuse they know the club sucks, good clubs like Tao, Surrender, Xs, Tryst and Haze wont do that on a weekend, Haze might durning the week but on he weekends no.

Not to sound mean but i am sure the only reason you had so much fun and liked it was cuz you had so much to drink you couldnt see what the girls really looked like, they are trashy vegas locals who are wanna be prostitutes and tourists who do not know how to dress or act in a club and the only reason they go is cuz PMG promotes the fuck out of their club in other states and countrys.

you can choose where you want to go but i would NEVER reccomend Pure. The reason PMG promotes pure so much is because it is the last club they have left, all the others closed down just like Pure will soon.

JaySyd's Comparison of Tryst vs Pure is spot on.

I def wouldn't pick Pure for a sat night, but maybe the tuesday, as there is not as much going on. I went there back in 08 and we had a fun night, but it wasn't the best crowd. Its prob gone even further downhill since then as so many new places have opened up.

welcome to the forums archy. yeah i'm with cole on this one too. ive read up a lot of reviews about pure lately cause i also wanted to see how the terrance deck everyone was talking about is like but now it's making me iffy.

If you don't mind recommendations about switching up your itinerary i would make XS saturday and do bottle service for that and for friday i would go to Surrender(hit up Mikey Tantalo he just recently joined the forums and has been great at helping people on the forums w/surrender) unless you have a hate for house music cause resident dj there for fridays is Steve Aoki then that's fine. Tryst is also another option.

Hey archy, just got back from vegas last week..we stayed at the wynn as well and it was our first trip, awesome hotel you will love it!

your itinerary looks good, xs is one crazy club you wont be dissapointed we went on friday but i hear saturday is the main night there which means prices might be a lil more expensive...but its vegas who cares haha, get bottle service there on the patio, that is a great spot, not crowded but get a good view of the dance floor and pool with ladies walking past and enough room to dance.

Didnt hit up any of the other clubs you are doing, we did tryst on saturday night, table on the dancefloor that was a crazy night..

Interesting! I went to Vegas two weeks ago and randomly met a guy from Brisbane who lost his friends. So we told him he could tag along and get trashed with us. It was his first time in America and he loved it!

I just came back from Vegas tonight and regarding the clubs, honestly, don't go to Tao. It looks nice and all but it's overcrowded and claustrophobic. I was really excited to go and I had fun at the club, but it was just way too hot and packed.

Last night I had the BEST clubbing experience at the Palms. We saw ATB at Rain. Definitely, definitely hit up the Palms clubs. Get the $70 all access pass cuz you'll be able to bypass the truly MASSIVE lines (we got in within 2 minutes, three guys). And you get access to all the clubs (Moon, Rain, Ghostbar and Playboy). Moon is basically on the 52nd floor and you have an INCREDIBLE view of the city while you're partying. And Rain was amazing, it has a few levels and a massive dancefloor so you can really get around easily. like I said, ATB was playing so I'm sure it was a full house and yet you could really get around easily.

Another tip, you should take a little break from the clubs on a day or two and instead of sleeping off the hangover in your room, don't club one night and then go to one of the day parties at Wet Republic or Encore Beach!

We got quote for all the clubs that we are heading to that I listed before for 125 per person. Do you guys think we need one during October and save our money or is it a good idea to go ahead with a host?? Not sure what to do so any advice would be awesome..

125 seems steep, which sounds like you're going through an independent host.

The hosts listed on the main site and the ones that are scattered around the forums here are actual club hosts, no middle men.

I was in the same position as you my first time. I was scared that I was gonna wait ages in line to get into the best clubs, so I researched hosts. And independent hosts make it sound so simple...you pay them and they take care of all the work. Problem is, the work isn't that hard and the prices they charge are a little ridiculous.

So, what you want to do is pick the clubs you want to go to. If you're unsure, check out the sticky for which clubs to go to. Once you've decided, head over to the main page and get the contacts for that club. Then, shoot them an email or a text a week or 2 before you get to Vegas and say you want to go, etc. Make sure you tip the host, say $20/head for tip, then you pay cover.
