Tao weekend passes from Vegasview.com

my experience with the TAO wristband was really good. i actually bought it for MDW a couple months ago. when you first pick it up, you go to a VERY short line in front of the entrance to TAO and ask for Robert Connor. you tell him you bought the TAO wristband and then he directs you to the cashier. the cashier has a list with everyone's names that have purchased the wristbands, and they put it on you right there (you keep the same wristband on the whole weekend). you then get the normal TAO stamp and enter the club. if you go back to TAO another night on your trip, you have to go in the guestlist line, you can't just walk into the club like you did to get your wristband. you need to get the TAO stamp again. just try to get the attention of the guys with the clipboards and let them know you have a wristband and they will usually help you get in quicker than others in the guestlist. again, your admission is comped. works the same at TAO Beach the whole weekend. you just get in the guestlist line and show them your wristband. over MDW it was so crowded that they stopped letting people in on Saturday. they said you would have to purchase at least a daybed running at $1,500 to get in and turned away hotel guests, people on the guestlist and people offering $100 cash just to get in. my girlfriend and i showed them our wristbands though, and got right in. you keep your TAO wristband on the whole weekend, but they give you a new TAO Beach wristband of the day each time you go so you wear both. hope this helps. let me know if you guys had any other questions about the wristbands and i'll try to help.

hahaha. i was staying at Venetian Thurs-Monday so TAO Beach was super convenient and free with the wristband (didn't wanna deal with a lot of the MDW hassle of getting in places). easy to go back up to the room any time we wanted. We went to TAO Beach for at least a little each day, TAO twice, and we also went to Drai's, Surrender and XS. Didn't make it south of Drai's the whole weekend haha.

oh yeah that's true. forgot you went mdw weekend haha. im surprise you got into surrender and xs too! crazy. I remember seeing the line for tao on saturday at like 1:30am and it was still packed and wrapped around the whole upstairs still. i didn't even wanna trying getting in that night.

@nighthawk06si: i had actually purchased the presale tix for surrender that weekend to see LMFAO and check out the new place cause i knew it'd be hectic for opening weekend. didn't want to deal with all the chaos. then luckily my buddy and his friends had a table at XS that weekend so i just said their names at the door and they let us in without waiting in line or anything. wouldn't think about going to XS on a holiday weekend without some sort of assistance getting in! hahaha

partyrock, thanks for the info man. that actually REALLY clears a lot up. makes total sense now as to why some people say no line and others say guestlist, cause in reality, if you go more than once, it is both. awesome. very glad to know that we'll be able to get in right away without much of a hassle. thank you!

Glad i could help clear some things up! when i got mine and used it i was SUPER skeptical and had NO idea how it would work. i had read so many different opinions about it that it got a bit confusing. but after using it i was more than happy about the experience. one thing i will mention though is that not all TAO employees seem to know what the passes mean. mostly the guys at TAO Beach standing near the ropes telling you which line to go in (guestlist, reservations, general admission lines). They didn't always know that it was for free admission in the guestlist line. a couple times they said we had to go in the general admission line. but every time i talked to someone with a clipboard they knew exactly what to do and got me in no problem. just wanted to mention that so if you get in a similar situation it's no biggie, just find someone with a clipboard! haha.

Great info partyrock, I have just bought the tao wristbands off wantickets website for ldw. Looks like a great decision now!
