  • NEWBIE... TOP 5 things to do in vegas?

So my first "real" trip to vegas happens in about a month, so excited!

Anyway, looking for some ideas from seasoned vets. that know the place better than I.

Looking back on all the things you have done over the years what are the top 5 things to do in VEGAS concerning...

    1) Nightlife for Clubs and for Bars (Top ~5) - unfortunately we cant do bottle service/clubs everynight since we are on a tighter budget.
    2) Daylife (Top ~5)
    2) Tourism (Top ~5)
    3) Happy Hour (Top ~5)
    4) Food/Restaurants (Top ~5)

Im trying to make this trip the best I possibly can for me and the people im going with.

thanks, i know its a lot to ask but any help/advice/input would be great.

we are going from Sept. 1st to Sept 7th.

I can answer one of those questions.. I don't care for the touring in Vegas.

Daylife - Wet, Rehab, EBC, Tao Beach, Liquid

thanks for the input! i have searched the forums extensively for ideas, but there are so many that it would be nearly impossible to do them all when we are there... nor do we want to. we want to enjoy the time as well and not try to fit in everything!

There's no such thing as "Happy Hour". In Vegas, every hour is happy.

I think most of the buffets have a bottomless champagne policy too.

That falls into the tourism category

I don't see anything wrong with tourism, especially if it's their first time.

Bellagio Fountain at night, its a spectacle. For me, it was because you envision Vegas to be a certain way from what you hear/read/see in movies. And the Bellagio fountain is iconic.

Try to hit a pool party since its summertime. They're fun.

Try to eat dinner at a different hotel. My first time, my friends and I would try and walk to a different hotel to see what we would find.

It's like living in NY, we don't ever visit Times Square because its a heavy Tourist area. But someone who visits for their first time, they can go and be blown away. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't either. Get in as much Touristy stuff, while still being able to party (both day and night). Some of my more memorable stuff in Vegas comes from doing the Tourism with my friends, more so than the clubs or pools.

Yeah, wandering the hotels and seeing the Bellagio fountains etc is awesome. I was under the impressions that tourism was like Hoover Dam and stuff.
